Ya know usually when you can see through a npc's flesh via the camera angle, you just see through them, or maybe see some individual pieces like eyes or teeth or whatever, but I think at the point you've detailed them enough that we can literally see an NPC's ass, you've officially gone too far with the detail. Unless the game has sex scenes I guess, but this one doesn't, thank god.

It's because that Gollum refused to take off the penis ring he was wearing, which he kept calling "The one ring" and "My precious" It was never made clear though whether or not he was talking about his penis or the penis ring itself. That's the point of LotR tho, or Hobbit even. A seemingly insignificant and powerless oddball protagonist is asked to go beyond his comfort levels and experience adventure all for the epic quest of destroying evil once and for all. good guys win at the end, the protagonist grew along their journey, etc. etc. I believe it matters more what you do with the premise to make it interesting and engaging. the premise by itself isn't inherently flawed and there are countless examples in film/books of a 'useless' protagonist. it could be made into a solid experience but we all saw what happened. They cursed us. gollum gollum. Creators aren't servants to create what the consumers ask.

At this point Gollum is almost as painful to watch as it is to play, either way you want the game to work so it can end faster, but it’s almost as if the game actively fights the players AND any audience they might have; ensuring everyone has a bad time….. still glad you two covered it though :)

I really tried to finish the game. I played it about 50% but then there is one sneaking scene where I experienced the game breaker glitch and now my game is on death loop where I die between the cutscene :D I cannot do anything because I die in middle of a cutscene and even reinstalling the game didn' help.

7:40 I will say one thing in gollums faver.. he was written as a relatively dangerous character in the original book, I mean he did seem to be able to kill quite well and he had some speed and decent strength for his size! So him being decent in combat is the one thing I wouldn't be so worried about! It's been a very long time since I read the books but I'm pretty sure it talks about some of the people he killed.. I feel like gollums could have been an interesting concept and interestingly dark story if it was done well! I think the issue is I bet it was rushed as it's not exactly a game that's going to bring a huge crowd of people excited for it!

You have 4 years in development to make this game and I am sure the developers were working on it before the announcement they had plentily on time to work on this! This feels like a... Gallum, King Kong, and the Walking Dead game were all published by the same company deapite three different devs. From what developers have said, they had their budgets and dev times cut a few times. Which is a shame, because the publisher used to put out some of the best Nickelodeon games from many people's childhood.
