Melissa and I take the fish house camper on her maiden voyage camping at Hoodoo Point campground in Tower Minnesota on Lake Vermilion. Fish were not biting but we had a great time. Camping, fishing and Mudbuggin.

Nice fish house, looks like you have everything you need, except 5 more feet of hose. I'd do some research on the lake by the campground and talk to some people at the campground to get some ideas where to fish close by, better luck fishing next time. Looks like you have all your grills put together so next time you won't need to time putting them together.

Good show. Wish i knew you was going there . In the spring you can catch fish 50 feet off shore .theres rocks out there that go around that camp ground. After about june 8th the fish move out to the big bay. You were in the small bay. Big boats sure help in going way out to fish. If a strom comes up its no fun riding 5 foot rollers to land. After june 8th for walleye your better off fishing at 8pm to midnight to catch fish. But other bays are better for fishing. Way to much day time boat traffic and the fish just lay on the bottom all day. Alotta boats an wave runners all day screws up the fishing and conditions the fish. We dont go there much in the summer. Early spring and fall is best or at nite. Yup you were 32 miles away.

At least Joe doesn't claim they are roughing it. I've slept in the trunk of a 74 Gran Fury Police Interceptor and with a piece of plastic draped over the trunk a pillow and blanket I was in high cotton. Reason I wasn't sleeping in it was my dogs claimed the interior. As Joe has stated before those were back in my partying days. If I had had a camper back in the 70's man you talk about thinking I was somebody. Congrats on the fish house Joe and Melissa! I have a cabin on the western part of Lake Vermilion. It’s where I am now. It took me a couple years to figure out how to catch Walleye here but now I do pretty good, usually fishing a couple hundred feet west of the cabin. I catch a few Northerns, crappie and bass too, even got a Muskie once but I’m mostly after the Walleye. Thanks for the video Joe!

Fishing wise talk to the owner, get a map of the lake, typo type. Maybe a depth finder for the boat, no guarantee but on a big lake like that it should help your odds.

Joe I have some of those solar lights with all the filaments. They are a pain to set up. You can arrange them in a globe shape - some straight up, some to the side, and some going down. They look cool that way.

This video made me homesick for my 40' trailer I used to own and keep parked at a wonderful campground all through the summer season, such good times were had. Love the Fish House and especially the cooking appliances for every possible meal imaginable, especially the griddle. I've been to that lake twice! Absolutely amazing scenery! We stayed by the dam at a resort. We also took a float plane ride over all of it! Tough lake to fish but a great time either way!

Well, as a shake down it went pretty good. Nothing broke or leaked. You gathered a lot of info for next time. The fishing situation was a bummer but that just means you have to keep trying new places. I could have watched this all day. Especially someone besides me setting up and breaking down camp! Joni and Chunky were so good considering how noisy it was. I cant wait to watch you four camp again!

That fish house camper is the bees knees! It reminds me so much of our living quarters horse trailer. We have so much room in it for just the two of us. We have used it in the past as just a camper but it's big and we can't camp just anywhere in it. And that little "bobber" grill is just the cutest thing! Except the uncooperative weather and the noisy neighbors, looks like it was a wonderful maiden venture! Hope to see more adventures with it. For the record, I've done my time in tent camping. I love it until it starts raining, hailing, or the wind starts blowing 90 MPH. Or bears show up! I'll take a camper any day! 😂😂👍👍

Joe, I always left the rear portion of the awning tilted down so the rain water would drain as needed. Takes a lot of weight off the contact area of the camper. Try that the next time y’all go out. Lost our motorhome to a really bad storm in Texas approx 12 years ago. Enjoyed going camping and going our sons deer lease for week or more. Enjoyed watching y’all camp!
