Renee Lanier Thank you for commenting! I totally understand. I’ve been planning this series for a while on loom knitting and I understand it pushes back on my crochet and needle knitting videos for a time. However I will make more of the other videos soon. In fact the first part of this series I released daily for a week just so it wouldn’t drag out for 7 more weeks to push the other crafts back more. I hope you can understand. In the meantime, what would you like to learn next in crochet? Is it taking the beginner stitches and going to the next level for specialty stitches or do you like more project based things like squares designs, garments or other items?

Hey Kristen!! I had a quick question for you- but first let me say, I am sooo THANKFUL!! & in LOVE!! with your channel! The effort you put in to each video, the attention to detail, how considerate you are in the way you think of how each person may work differently or have different questions; it's awesome! Just know myself and I'm sure lots of others truly appreciate all your hard work. Not to mention- I'm sure it can get pretty crazy at times🤯 haha. So my question for you is, is it possible to do the Garter Stitch on a double loom (long loom/ rake loom/ etc,..) ?? I really tried to scan all the videos I could, and search the web, but I couldn't find a straight answer anywhere🤷‍♀️😤. I wanted to make a thicker garter stitch cowl on one of my long looms, but I don't know how to do it with both sides/ rows! Would love to hear back from you but I won't take it personal if you don't lol, you have lots of peeps commenting all at once!! Again, love your stuff💜💜! Thanks 🤗

Hello, I just did a blanket on a long loom, with garter stitch border and ewrap body, when binding off my loom, it buckles and tried 3 different ways, last 2 are less buckled. Took me a long time I me to learn the garter stitch with the direction of working yarn confusion, so I marked my loom instead. What am I doing wrong? TIA

Try the Ewrap stitch when binding off to make it looser. Also it’s VERY important to make sure you aren’t tightening the stitch after working it when moving the stitches over after each stitch.

is there a formula to determine the number of top/bottom row and side purl stitches to make the border equal on a larger project such as an afghan or baby blanket. I am interested in making a baby blanket but I want the side border to be the same width as the top and bottom border. Thank you!

You can work a swatch out of all garter stitch and measure out your desired width in stitches and count for stitches on ends. And measure how many rows/ridges in that same dimension vertically. Plan on that number. It always depends on your loom gauge, yarn chosen, and personal stitch tension.

Isn't garter only knit stitches (every row is knit)?

For needles the answer is yes if knitting a flat panel. Because when it is flipped over you work a knit stitch and a Purl is on the other side. Flip over again and you see the Purl from before and knit a row. But on the loom EVERY ROW is on the “Right Side” similar to knitting with needles in the round. So you have to choose a knit or Purl stitch to show up on the Right Side.
