Oh my gosh! Finally I find a video I understand lol. I've gone through so many websites and videos on why my stitches are so tight. Thanks to your video I realize the whole time I think I'm doing an ewrap or u stitch I'm actually doing the flat stitch! Thank you thank you thank you! I've been so frustrated trying to make socks!

I just discovered this technique of knitting it has being my long life dream to knit with two needles. I am great with books, but crafting the opposites. I suffered from back injury and have severe asthma. I will liked to know how I can do the loom from my bed. Right now I am working on a loom kit for kids , I thought It was something for children only when I saw the round one. I did a research and find this interesting. I would love to create beautiful things, I spend a lot of time in bed and are working with the loom with the pegs down. Hopefully as I progressed watching your videos I will have more information. Wonderful this it’s going to be my new hobby.

Help! I’m struggling with the correct way to wrap the first and last stitch! Do you wrap the first peg differently from the rest of the pegs?
@ruthlanni8982 жыл бұрын
Thank you I prefer the u knit butmy stitches were too tight. Thank you for the tip regarding placing your finger or pick on the previous peg. I am better at the true knit but it seems slower. I'm desperately trying to get away from the ewrap. Last question if you use say a #404 thinner 5 weight on a 5/8 loom but can you u as e one strand IF you use the Uknit or True knit stitch?

@GoodKnitKisses I hope you reply ASAP. I just wanted to know how wide this patch is.... I'm a beginner trying to make 7×6 inch patches for my cardigan.

I have a calculator on my website to help you get to the right size using your own loom, yarn and stitch selection. You will have to make a swatch first and measure. But once you make the first one you can adjust and make all the patches you’d like. :)

Barb Alderman that’s ok. You can do it in either direction. Be sure to check out our cast on video in this series. I have 3 cast ons for beginners and several tips including tightening.

Can I do the u-rap back to front.

Angelika Sheffield no because that would be making an Ewrap stitch one at a time

i am very confused as to what the difference between u wrap knit stitch and flat knit stitch does anyone know?
@GoodKnitKisses7 ай бұрын
The U wrap knit stitch has more yarn in each stitch so your row is taller and wider. There are less stitches per inch with a U wrap knit. I flat knit stitch typically would be used for something you need a really tight gauge on. A u wrap knit is a shortcut to make a traditional knit stitch which when loom knitting takes just a little longer. It’s worked opposite as a purl stitch. Be sure to watch those to videos. I like to advise to make swatches of all knit stitches separately and compare. Be sure to use the same loom and yarn. Also knit at least 4-6 inches to really see the difference. Measuring how many stitches per inch (in width across) you count and how many rows per inch will really help as well.
