No. It's entirely up to Google where it shows your assets. Depending on your bid, you get more or less. Consider running KZbin campaigns instead.

We have very little control with app install campaigns. It's one of the most automated campaign types in Google Ads.

Without targeting options for some niche apps (accounting let's say) you'll probably get a lot of spammy installs

Hey! I just have one question. I recently started a performance max campaign to get application downloads but upon testing the ad I found that the users are being redirected to the website instead of the app. Is there an option to send them to App Store or play store? Depending on the device?

What daily/monthly budget would you use for the new meditation app for CPI and CPM?

The lowest I'd want to start with is $25/day. Obviously the more budget you have the better so the bid strategy can learn faster. But I like to start a little lower and ramp up once I'm seeing better performance.
