I hope somebody reads my message! I was vegan for almost 3 years and Dave Asprey convinced me to get off the vegan diet. He’s very convincing and I didn’t do my own research. I didn’t even know about this channel years ago. I’m happy to say that I’m vegan again! After finding out that all of the research is funded by the companies who want you to buy their animal products I gave up eating animal products again. A lot of the studies are done by pharmaceutical drug companies as well. Every research road leads back to the dairy, meat and pharmaceutical drug companies. I feel happy and healthy and strong once again. I had pain in both my knees and heart problems. All of this pain went away after about four days on the vegan diet. Eating Animal products is disgusting in many different ways.

I tried doing Keto carnivore for 6 months and it ruined my health. It made my cholesterol go up to 608 and my LDL was 473. My doctor wanted me on statins right away. I didn't take them and just went wfpb over this last month and my cholesterol has already dropped 200 points. My LDL even went from 473 to 282. This is proof that this way of eating is so good for us and it has worked faster than a statin to bring my cholesterol down. My doctor was shocked. Also all my joint pain and being out of breath went away. I'm even able to jog again. So glad you returned to plant based eating and your health returned as well.

Soul V, well I did gain weight after going vegan (about 10 pounds), but that is just because the food tastes so damn good and I love to cook fancy meals, so it was very easy for me to overeat on all of the rich foods that I can make. I am turning it around and loosing by just being a little more mindful of just how much I am eating. Don't have to do tiny portions or calorie count, just watch the calorie dense stuff and fill up more on the low calorie dense foods.

I struggled to gain weight before I went vegan about 5 years ago. I was very underweight, at about 130. I've gained 30 pounds since then and I'm the healthiest I've ever been. People still say I'm thin, because they know I'm vegan, yet I was unhealthy and way skinnier eating a predominantly animal based diet.

I had a joint pain in my left wrist due to an incident at work few years ago. Sometimes the pain just disappeared, but occasionally it came back even 3 years after the incident, and it was very frustrating (when I just turned on/off the lightswitch and the pain from the middle finger until the wrist it was really unpleasant). I've tried pills, oily tunafish etcetc, nothing helped. Since I'm vegan (2 years now), the pain never came back, not even for a second.

The problem is that the people looking to have their bad diets validated don't care if the claims have been disproven or not, they are just looking for someone, anyone to tell them that their favorite foods (butter, meat, cheese, eggs) are will make their health better, not worse. So Asprey comes along speaking very authoritatively and confidently making health claims with no "maybe", or "might be" qualifiers that real science based people must use since all conclusions in science are provisional subject to change as new data comes along. Thus he gives these people the validation they are looking for and that is as far as they are interested in going. They are not going to go fact check him. He said it, I believe it, pass the burgers and butter coffee.

I did keto for a few years, lost weight at first then it slowly came back and my blood pressure got higher and higher and i started having heart palpitations. I switched to a plant based diet and my blood pressure is normal, i have no more problems with my heart and ive lost weight. Plant based is much easier for me because. I work alot and grabbing fruit and veggies on the go is much simpler then trying to constantly seek fat sources. Plant based is way cheaper than keto for me also

Often people don't associate what they are currently eating, as a diet. So when a vegan "diet" is brought up, they assume it is for weight loss, or muscle gain, or something else. This can give veganism a bad wrap, because although a vegan diet can cause both weight loss, and muscle gain, the actual diet between the two will be different. And I think that veganism should not be put on a pedestal next to a "Bulletproof" diet representative because of this reason. Mad props for the work you put in at PBN Klaus.

Though the collagen though is relatively rare, perhaps one Mr Bulletproof came up with himself, in particularly mind-boggling since I'm sure cellulite is something that forms typically during caloric restriction, which most of the keto crew need to do in order for it to work.

Why is Dave Asprey not slim and kinny ? he looks high on pot or other drugs ; look at his face ! his B.S. coffee is not working .....He's looks 10 years older than his age...Dave Asprey has aged so poorly...on his high fat meat diet ! Not trying to be mean, just pointing out that a diet low in antioxidants and fiber doesn't help you age well. This man is a narcissist with a big ego and does it with a smile ...If anyone mentions anything on Dave Asprey podcast, he talks about himself and how he use to be fat. He has many boring guests, people that obviously paid to be on bulletproof podcast (Yes you pay 20k to be on it). Or he talks about new gadgets that are a waste of money, saying he uses them everyday in his routine ... which is obviously a lie.He keeps on talking about 40 years of Zen, but you can see it doesn't work! Because if it did, Dave wouldn't be so full of himself. This is not the biohacking movement anymore coming from him. It's just a sales pitch. The books Dave Asprey writes is filled with dubious claims based on little evidence or " cherry picked studies" that are "taken out of context". The author, Dave Asprey, vilifies healthy foods and suggests part of the way to achieve a "pound a day" weight loss is to buy his expensive, "science-based" Bulletproof products.Almost every fad diet-book starts with a compelling personal narrative.a..Dave asprey always says "The best way to lose weight is by buying my special products!" In Asprey's food categorizations, many of the items that rank as most healthy are his own branded products: Bulletproof Brain Octane, Bulletproof Chocolate Powder, Bulletproof Ghee, Bulletproof Whey, et cetera. Alarm bells should go off any time someone claims that you should buy their expensive products for your diet. Especially when the products come with miracle promises, like Asprey's Unfair Advantage, which he suggests will help your body grow new mitochondria (the energy powerhouses of the cells). There's BULLSHIT EVERYWHERE all around us! The best skill you can learn is to filter the good from the bad, and never buy into anything all the way. That holds true for internet gurus and mainstream medicine alike. 1--->As soon as someone says he would live to 180 years old, red flag is flying in my mind..This man is a professional con-artist sales man. 2- -->If fat is so good for testosterone why does Asprey injection testosterone ?.------>debunked !

Just because someone looks healthy doesn't make them healthy... Look at any athlete and they will most likely look healthy. For example body builders that eat a lot of animal products. They look healthy, but the plaque in their arteries starts to build up.

CrazyPolishVEGAN I'm a former (hardcore) vegan and YES I did do the diet correctly, I went three years and received mild benefits for the first 6 months, eventually developed a mix of awful health conditions, the only thing that helped me heal and gave me my life back was meat, for the record, I never enjoyed meat or the taste nor do I think that killing animals is okay, I still view them as equal to me, the reality is that I would have fallen into a coma and possibly died eventually had I not changed. I'm all for the idea of animals not deserving this but I very much dislike when people lie or claim saying the vegan diet is suitable for everyone. Wrong! some people (I'm not saying most, just some) cannot function on a plant based diet, this is a reality and I've seen it all over the world in my travels. Please don't misinform people, it can be dangerous

@thomaskeets3194
@thomaskeets3194 6 жыл бұрын
toy gummy bear toy gummy bear No, that is my point! Meat does not feed cancer, glucose does! That’s why a ketogenic diet would be more healthy and beneficial. Cancer cells run on glucose, they need glucose to live they can’t work or live using ketones, which is what your body uses when you have placed yourself in a state of ketosis. Look up, Logan Sneed on youtube. He had stage 4 brain cancer which the doctors told him is incurable and that he had a year to live after two years starting a ketogenic diet he is still alive and is living with NO cancer! Once anyone is diagnosed with cancer they need to be on a Ketogenic diet to reverse it!

Plant based debates like this is very helpful for people to learn. And many people are interested about what is the best for health. Confronting the myths and questions in debates is a great way to make an impact. We need more amazing people out there to share correct information. There’s a doctor on FB who cured her lupus with the Vegan diet and helping others as well. Her husband is a vegan body builder and they have a vegan child. They’d make a great example and would be able to share great information if given opportunity.

An old old tradition from pre-scientific days is called sympathetic magic where if you wanted to have some aspect you went out and ate, wore or possessed something that had that aspect. So if you wanted to be brave you would eat the heart of a lion, if you wanted to be strong you would eat the muscles of an ox and by so doing take some of their spirit magic for yourself. So by this primitive worldview if you want collagen in your joints to keep them supple and pain free, then you need to eat the collagen of some other animal so you can appropriate their good joint magic.

Just subscribed. Thank you for posting this. I think the issue of plant based diets vs all others is more than just a health issue in a physical sense. There has to be a certain level of compassion, love and sense of oneness that awakens in their heart to decide to make the change and then of course do it correctly according to where they are on their path (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual). I understand the feeling of anger and injustice a lot of vegans have when others can't or don't see the evil they are contributing to but the fact remains that by attacking non plant based eaters will only do the opposite of what changes you want to see made. All of us are contributing to some sort of evil whether we see it or not. What I've learned through mediation is to as much as possible walk in a spirit of unconditional love, compassion and mercy towards myself and others and yes observe and acknowledge what does not serve us as individuals and as a whole and then let it go and focus and work towards the goal in a gentle way that flows, like water. Bring awareness, have conversations, give options but ultimately the free will/choice on any matter is up do the individual. The mechanical laws of the universe, one being the law of karma is constantly in motion. We get what we put in and that means energetically too so if we attack we are only hurting ourselves. We need to remember that most of us were once at that lower vibrational and less empathetic and loving level and each of us are on our own path and our timing will be different. Patience, love, compassion and mercy for all. Namaste.
