+Shanti You are not able to set it up from a desktop computer. You could use your phone and set it up under her email account in the Google Home app though. She can use the Google Home independent without having the phone once it is set up, there are just some features that may not work seamlessly.

If I create a timer on the Google Home Mini then walk away from it can I check the timer and turn it off using another device like a smartphone or tablet? Can I do this using the Google Assistant app or Google Home app or Google Clock app? Yes, you can open the Google Home app, tap on the Mini and select the Gear Icon at the top right, then select Alarms and Timers and it will show you the Timer there.

Great video thanks. I've bought two refurbed units. Can you confirm that a long press on the right or left volume buttons PAUSES the music. When I lift the units the music stops. I thought it was a fault. Now I think its the side buttons. tx Brian

I got a GH Mini a couple of weeks ago and spent 4 days trying to connect a Gosund Smart Plug. Sent them back and got TP-Link and they connected with little effort. Today I spent 30-40 mins. installing two switches in my bedroom. I figured it out then spent another 2-3 hours trying to connect them to my wifi. Never connected. I now have to take it all down, box it up and get permission to return them. Smart Life app has never worked for me, but Kasa app did. Any suggestions on connecting with Smart Life app? 2,4G, turned off 5G signal. AP mode also doesn't work. Thanks for any help.

Sorry to hear about the troubles. You can also try the Tuya app to see if that works any better. With those devices I usually just hold down on the on switch for about 15 seconds and they go into pairing mode and show up in the app to connect. I usually have to try a few different in app options as there are sign many lighting choices.

You are able to play the same music on multiple devices and have it on all the rooms in the home at the same time. I'm not sure if I've missed something, but I have a S9+ and use the Google Assistant all the time, would the Home Mini benefit me? Thanks :)

I feel like it can in many ways. Even though your phone has access to the Google Assistant do you have the app open all the time or the phone with you always when you are around the house? The great thing about the Google Home is it is always there ready to help.

Hey, the video was good. If I wish to alter the volume I can tap either side of th home mini, however when I'm listening to the radio and I move the home mini it stops broadcasting, sometimes I wiggle it around and it comes back on, also there is a short delay, may 10 seconds from a radio to the h9me mini and some times theres a 10 minute delay, can you help me with these problems please? And yes that comment about you nails, she's right. Looks like you bit them.

When you hold down the side buttons it pauses what is playing. If you hold it down again it will start playing. Is this what is happening?

N9 that isn't whats happening as I didn't even know there were buttons on the side, that hasn't been ex0lained in any video I've looked at. However if it does pause, probably because I've touched buttons that I didn't know were there I shake it and it sometimes comes on again but then it catches ups and every 15 minutes when it says what the time is it's way off, I guess that's because it has paused.

Did you use both microphones; yeti and rode, for this video? Did you have to attach the audio from the yeti microphone to the video editing program or did the sound from the yeti microphone picked up through your camera? I hope you get what I’m trying to ask. Lol.

I am using just the Blue Yeti sound. I record from both bit then I use Adober Premie8 to sync the audio and mute the Rode mic sound.

Hey Brett, your voice must sound close to mine, because as you would say "Hey Google" mine would start listening. When you told yours to reduce the volume, mine did! And so the fun begins! :)
