I purchased mine in Nov 2019. I got the Intel Core m3. It's still going strong. The speakers and the keyboard were so far ahead of their time.

Same with my pixel slate . Thought it would lose support by now still running and being updated like day 1 my 2nd gen Samsung Chromebook with the s pen finally just sent a notice saying it wouldn’t recieve anymore support and that was recent . I’m definitely going to get one of the new plus series Chromebook’s when the slate gets dropped

Chromebooks are so useful. I keep mine on the end table in the family room. Mine is Mediatek 1380 based (Acer Spin 513). The ARM Chromebooks get great battery life and I like the fan less design. The latest Chromebook Plus models are intriguing but I really don't need two Chromebooks so I haven't picked one of those up yet.

Still such an awesome piece of hardware. I really start worrynig what i'm gonna one day need to replace it with. Nothing on the market seems to match the quality of the pixelbook go. Wish Google could bring a replacement out.

Great video J. I have the Pixelbook Go and still love it. Your battery should be good because after Chrome OS 118 they put a battery saver on there to protect the battery. Hopefully it lasts me another 6 years. The Pixelbook Go plus the Pixel 8 Pro is the lethal combo.

I bought one of these for my daughters last year. Didn't know much about it until I i was setting it up. Bought another one for myself. Cool devices, especially with the i5 processor.! I really like having a lit keyboard.

In spite of the fact that the Go advertised a one finger hinge open up, mine never would do that out of the box. Still I loved that machine like no computing device I'd ever used. Fabulous speakers, 14" screen in a 13" form factor, buttery smooth keystrokes and above average track pad made me proud to own one until after about 30 months the screen fried itself and I got nothing but squiggly lines. The country I live in had nobody that could repair it so I had to toss it. What a shame and now it's discontinued.

Been thinking of going all in on The Google ecosystem. I started with the Pixel 8 and Tablet. I have been thinking of getting a Chromebook but I want an actual Google device. After watching this video I am thinking of getting a refurbished one. Hopefully it will work till I'm able to buy an actual android laptop in the future.

Bought my Pixelbook Go in December 2019 and, like you, it is still going strong. I cannot find fault with it: Perfectly silent, doesn't heat up, lightweight, reliable and robust, ergonomic, decent video and sound, Perfect for my needs (Netflix, emails, internet searches, etc). I feel lucky and honored to have been its owner. So sad that they have discontinued. I am playing with the idea to buy a second one (new ones still exist on Amazon I think) but am afraid they will stop updates at some point. But perhaps that is unwarranted since it is web-based. I doubt I will ever find something as perfect again. Here's hopefully to another 5 years with my trusty Pixelbook.

Makes you wonder if they are going to revisit this space soon. Pixel is arguably more popular now. I see them on a regular basis. But with the success of the pixel 6 and above, pixel watch line, pixel buds, and of course pixel tablet, it begs the question, will we see a pixel branded Chromebook to complete the ecosystem. My honest view is probably not as there’s just so many great options out there. But it’s nice to dream!

I absolutely love mine. 4 years old and it's still snappy like day one. I used to spend loads of money on windows laptops only to get slow 2-3 years down the road. This laptop looks and feels as premium as a laptop well above one thousand dollars.

Man, this is the most underrated laptop. This thing cost 999 at the time but you can get them for less than 300 now and it’s the best deal. It’s been my fav laptop for a while. Between doing work in the cloud or on web pages, it’s the best.

I still use my Pixelbook, but the battery is killing me. I just love the device. Specifically the Keyboard and Trackpad. Is the Keyboard and Trackpad just as good on the Go?

Fun fact i am watching this on a Chromebook it is a ASUS Chromebook with light up keys on it so i can use it in a dark room. My chromebook does not have good enough hardware in it to grt future updates and i was thinking about geting my hands on a pixel bookGo because mine is not mine it is my dads but he is leting me barrow it for now.

I have the i7 model sad to say I never even open mine it's still in original wrapping straight from the Google store. My MacBook pro i5 2017 model is 6 yrs old still getting security updates when it's doesn't anymore I'll open the pixel go. Then again J said it's 4 yrs old now time flies good video 100K JAY ✌🏾

Sadly mine just stopped working. Keyboard doesn't work and the the screen is moving as if something is pressing the screen repeatedly. No one knows how to fix. Eye bought a Pixel tablet last week to replace the Pixelbook Go, to do my karaoke show and the Pixel Tablet has no way for display out.. kinda frustrating after spending over $1400 on that Pixelbook Go and at the moment it's a paperweight until Eye find someone that can fix it for me. It's literally the best laptop or note ever owned by me. Would always prefer that over my 2012 MacBook pro when it still worked. Do you have any suggestions on where my Pixelbook can be fixed? Google customer service can be trash at times and they didn't help me at all ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

December 2024: They sell them on Amazon. Also, Google cancelled their tablet series last year and will going full steam ahead on chromebooks in 2025. Chromebooks are back baby. Probably will have same Tensor processor as the PIxel.

It depends.... Chromebook plus has AI. Pixelbook has Google assistant. Pixelbook go gets updates until August 2029. Pairs with your pixel phone and does amazing stuff!
