Republicans acting in sheer panic at finding themselves on the wrong side of a threat to extreme popular in-vitro fertilization treatments are making grand gestures of nonsense, unable to escape the fact that their own anti-abortion fanaticism makes their claims of support for IVF untenable. We need a new batch of people like them, their stuff reached more people and made more people think, then anything else. I love that Disturbed redid song of silence. People don't realize just how much some of these so called old songs fit what's going on today. They reached more people and kept things fresh in peoples minds. I was 5 when Kent State happened, but the song about it has kept it fresh in my memories, it's a reminder of what happened then, is playing out again but in a worse way. There was the peaceful at the time, but there was also a more radical violent movement as well, it was on the fringe, after Kent State happened it grew and was no longer on the fringe. Kent State was the final breaking point for a lot of people. I talk to people in the pro democracy movement, that I worry are getting to their breaking point. With the violence on the right and people hitting their breaking point on the left, I think there will be more violence then people think. That worrys me taking a stand, if absolutely needed self defense, but I worry things will go further then that. The right keeps talking about civil war, but their heads are stuck in the 1800s and they are thinking to armys facing off. It won't be that, even experts have said it will be like Northern Ireland was, but worse. We need people once again to get messages out there that both sides can relate to and hopefully bring them back to truth.
