Bro try adjusting the air and fuel screw and adjust it till it revs better or just the clean the carb.. Its a 2 stroke so carbs will be blocked most of the time

I used to own a go ped back in my childhood. You can do many upgrades to those. I had a Gp290 engine with a air intake and an X can I used to take it my high school. From what I can remember once the wheel gets rubbed down enough you have to replace the rubber. Once that’s new it will skid start very easy. I love seeing this man. If you have any questions I can answer I’m from the United States so I grew up with those. Anyways man love your vids man keep ripping that thing man !

Most 2 stroke carbs are replaced after 60-80 hours. Also you may want to replace the tank to a bigger one. I did it on a 2 stroke push mower and it helped me not have to refule it have way through mowing.

Ive had a ton of these over the years and they are stupid fun but the carb is insanely touchy you need to tune it to the tee to make it run right. Best upgrades put a performance carb with hi flow intake. Lastly put an x can exhaust in my opinion it's the best exhaust. Good luck

I've used a shop vac on reverse or a leaf blower to find vacuum leaks and exhaust leaks, but now you showed me another way , thanks. Not better or worse they accomplish the same result it is just nice to have more tools/options at your disposal. Great video, great car! And the go-ped is sweet I have had a few and they are surprisingly reliable when cared for , use starting fluid with upper cylinder lubricant, safer than alternatives

Sammit the screw on the top of the carb where the throttle linkage connects is the Air fuel adjustment screw, you can get a high performance carb that will allow you to change the air fuel setting individually and port the head which will give you more power. As for a muffler they do not make a quieter setup I have only seen different expansion chambers which make it sound like a dirt bike

I still have a Petrol Goped fitted with nitrous oxide system. Its uses nitrous oxide cartridge. you push the button, it felt like vtec. Soo fast, loved it.

Take the carb off and clean it really good. Set it on a brick so the wheel is off the ground and start turning the air/fuel mixture screw until it revs without bogging.

A cool project you can do is making your own 2 stroke exhaust. Before I got a s14 I had a goped. Seeing yours is so nostalgic. You should be able to tune it better, mines topped off at 25mph stock. I was able to gun it from zero and it was very responsive. Clean the carbs, the needles need to be cleaned, take some tiny wire and clean them out. Also a lot of guys back in the days remove the intake tissues and poke holes in the intake box, and remove the tube that leads exhaust to the frame.(but you said you wanted it quieter) anyways yours can be tuned to be wayyy faster stock. Mines was stock and def ripped harder than yours was ripping Cheers brother

From the ages of 11-16 I had a blue goped sport, a blue geo sport, and a red GSR 40. If you get into gopeds check out the gsr40 or gsr46. They can actually idle without stalling and are chain drive instead of spindle

You had to engage the choke to start it when cold. After you rode it a bit and it warmed up you need to turn the choke off. Choked when warm will cause it to bog down.

Hey Sam, you could try cleaning the jets on the carb. I use a wire strand or several of them from a speaker wire or something and shove it through the small hole in the jets.

Hey sammit the choke switch should have 3 positions one position is full choke next is half choke then off. Start it with choke on then shut it off after it starts. Once it’s warmed up you shouldn’t need to use choke to start just maybe a little throttle. With the carb too besides cleaning it they cook gaskets so lean scooter good in different directions if idle fluctuates that’s carburetor gasket. There simple little engines good filter good spark plug right gas mixture. There happy. If you decide to adjust carb take it slow small adjustments each time. I’ve worked on every piece of still equipment out there. Push mowers to every size of commercial mower. There all pretty simple once you get in there. Good luck man cool chill video.

I had a 600cc sportbike with 4 carbs. When it was cold I’d always start it with the choke on and after about 30 seconds turn the choke off and gently blip the throttle for a another 30 seconds. Then it was warm enough that you wouldn’t just immediately stall it. I think carbureted endings are just sluggish when cold because once it warmed up the engine was a lot more rev happy. After it was warm it would start with out the choke but I’d imagine because the bigger engine and oil hold more heat compared to a small 2 stroke.

Carb needs rebuild, make sure to adjust the float bowl so it doesn’t send too much fuel which can cause the bogging, Clean the jet nozzles with compressed air. Replace/clean spark plug.

Change the spark plug for sure.. when starting it push primer three times and pull start it then move with your legs for a few pumps then take off. If the throttle is fully opened when you ( roll start it) it floods the carby when it starts.

Yo Sam check the spark plug and air filter first, May need replacement. Then clean the carb with cleaner. Sometimes the little aluminum bowl gets filled with crud from bad gas.

Going on to this I think you could have a crack in your carb. Those plastic ones tend to expand a lot and crack from heat or just sitting. Usually first thing people got was an air filter. You used to be able to buy aluminum air filters for them which helped a lot.

I would always mix the fuel a little heavy on the oil just a bit and race gas might give it a little more low end torque. Enjoy and be safe as you can...

Regarding the easing into the throttle, it seems like it's most likely the carb clogged with dirt, could also be weak spark or the fuel lines are clogged.

You gotta check the carb for a high and low screw which should adjust the throttle response and how quick it gets up to speed and Revs up

It's probably the air filter, if not you can pick up a carb for like 15 dollars on Amazon. Also check the fuel lines they get brittle. Then you will be able to shred .🤘

You have to pull start it let it warm up a sec then jump on it and have fun! when you jump start it like that its just flooding the little engine! hope this helps..

Highly suggest getting a race carb they make a world of difference also I'm pretty sure your engine is the g230. It's a little faster then the normal engine the regular sports came with

Motor sounds lean, also mix your mixture just a tiny bit more oil. Figure out your fuel screw & idle screw and play with it while out riding it so it stops bogging down.

also you might consider replacing the diaphragm and float inside of the carburetor on your GoPed it's like 10 bucks to replace it and it will give you about 20% of your power back

If you put a pod filter on it then the intake will be nearly as loud as the exhaust. The carbs are so cheap that it would be better to buy a new one. Loving the content sammit, keep it up 👌💯👍

The scooter should have a centrifugal clutch that keeps it from stalling when it’s stopped. The clutch helps with takeoff too based on the strength of the spring you use that holds the clutch shoes together

That’s not how go peds were designed. They were designed where you literally hop on it push it and go and when you stop the engine stops as well. That’s why I never understood why they bothered putting a pullstart cord on them lol

It’s a goped California sport they come with a 27cc zenhoa engine and will do around 25/30 mph I have one in the uk but I have replaced the exhaust with a proper expansion chamber and a pod filter and this brings the two stroke power band into life with that little engine and even better when you go to a 50cc kit they can become a very fun little scooter

I would replace the crankshaft seals for the age the motor is. Crankshaft seals are extremely important on a 2 stroke as any air leaks can present as a carburetor issue when infact the seals are shot.

Hey man I do a lot of small engine work, if the fuel looks discolored after the fuel filter, then the filter is bad. My advice would be to find a tune up kit and replace both air and fuel filter, and spark plug.

Look into getting upgraded carb and race spindle. Two of the better upgrades for that groped. The carb upgrade will make that thing go 60mpg. Also it’s boggy because it was sitting. Gas Evaps from oil and oil remains. So clean it well

could also be there air fuel mixture that can be ajusted by a screw on the side of the carbie. what ussually works is screw it all the way in then 2 and a half turns out. can adjust further out or in depends on how it runs then.

That should have a low and high speed mixture screw on the carb. If memory serves right it was 3/4-1 turn out on the low and 2 1/4- 2 1/2 turns out on the high. Keep it on the rich side and grab a few extra spark plugs, the motors don't last long if you run them on the leaner side especially with an adult weight on it.

I’d recommend tuning the carburetor. I remember having RC nitro cars and trucks and proper carb tune will give you ultimate throttle response and a rebuild should help as well. Try cleaning the air filter as well and mess with the needles on the carb if it has adjustable needles in the carb

With it been 2stroke you need to let it warm up because the oil is in the fuel so it has to lube the bearings up and everything

sounds like the carb needs rebuilt but when i had mine i changed the air filter to the better filter looks like a breather filter . change the muffler and check the clutch they always go bad it should idel when it stops just like a chain saw it should keep running when you let go of the gas and chain stop moving, I had one

Get a product called Mercury power tune. Drowned the carburetor it with a throttle open. Let it sit 30.40 minutes. Try starting it it's going to take a lot of work. When you get it Running rev all the way up. Drowned it out a few times with the power tune when it all away revved up. That should do it.

There should be a sponge filter for the air filter and rebuild the carburetter and put it in the ultra sonic and a lil carb cleaner it will run like brand new

Get a tiny piece of wire like from a wire brush and run it through all the tiny little holes on the pilot jet. While your at it you might as well clean the main jet as well. Also a new air filter would be good.

Leave the choke open till it warms up then push the choke back theres also a screw on the carb to tune it left would lean it out right would richen it up. You should try and lean it just a tad you go by 1/8th turns

How to tune the carburetor to factory settings turn the idle mixture and air mixture screws completely in till they are snug then back them out two and a half turns that is the factory setting.

The carb probably needs all new diaphrams and needle. You can find rebuild kits or whole new carbs eaasily online. Also just clean it out in an ultrasonic bath once apart.

Pump that primer ball like 3 times. And turn the choke on and start it. It does have to warm up. The carb is the biggest problem with any 2 stroke might even get a new carb. They make a 80 c.f. 2 stroke. But theres alot to do to go faster. Look up how to take the governer off.

Pull apart the carburetor and clean the jets so u can see through the little hole in them then start it, if it still doesn’t run right turn the little flat head screw (usually golden) on the carb all the way in and turn it out till it goes good(ONLY do it when the engine is warm) (in more fuel, less air) (out less fuel, more air) don’t turn it too far out or you will blow up the engine
