Thanks for sharing. I typically film with my gopro while out fishing. The polarizer filter has made a big difference and I like the results so far. However I find the polarizer can fog the lens.

Helpful video, thank you. Also, I believe polarizing lens works when filming activities in the snow (ski, snowboarding etc).

Another great use is when shooting videos from inside the front of a car. A CPL will eliminate reflections from the dashboard on the windscreen.

How do you possibly know what is the proper adjustment in terms of rotation of the CPL if you can't see through your camera like you can on a DSLR (I do not use Bluetooth for battery reasons on the GoPro, for what it's worth). It seems like you would just have to guess and then slip on the filter and HOPE that you have the correct angle.

Hi, i just got the GoPro 7 Black for making flyfishing video's. I use polarised sunglasses so i can see the fish much better. I just got the Polar Pro filter set and i noticed that the PL filter is very bright. It doesn't look like my sunglasses at all because because they are much darker. I fear that this will not have the same effect. Could you please shed some light on this issue. Maybe recommend what lense to buy.. Kind regards from the Netherlands 😎

Can you review ND filters for Gopro 7? And how to use them? I heard the hypersmooth will have different effect on ND filters
@jimmywrangles6 жыл бұрын
The best explanation I've heard for ND filters is "they're sunglasses for your camera" The brighter the day the darker the ND (Neutral Density) filter. I hope that helps.

Hi, do you think it's worth paying extra for the rotating polarizer? How about nd filters that had polarizer built into the filters? Thx!
@AirPhotography4 ай бұрын
In some scenarios, the polarizers really can make a difference cutting back on glare, which can really affect your overall color. You do have to watch with filters as they affect the stabilization. I tend to only use them where there’s not gonna be a lot of movement or stationary and I’m trying to have a longer shutter speed for time lapses

What difference in the look of video between polarizer and Nd with these? As in which one should I get Nd or polarizer?
@krane155 жыл бұрын
They work the same way you sunglasses do: ND (rated in levels of darkness) are just sunglasses for your camera. Polarizer reduces the glare. Just like your eye glasses, your camera can use both.

@AirPhotography5 жыл бұрын
I have not tested it, but the weight of these are minimal and should not affect the Gimbals performance. This gimbal is calibrated to work with a multitude of varying weighted cameras. You may have to remove the counterweight that is available with the G5
