FOX has ordered THE F WORD, a bold new food variety show from award-winning chef and series host Gordon Ramsay. Based on his hit U.K. series of the same name, each distinctive and fast-paced hour will combine good food and good cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy and humor into a one-of-a-kind LIVE series. THE F WORD is scheduled to premiere in 2017 on FOX.
On THE F WORD, foodie families from across the U.S. will battle it out in an intense, high-stakes cook-off. In addition to impressing Ramsay, each team must win over the hearts and taste buds of the diners, celebrities and VIP guests whom they’re serving.
Throughout each hour-long episode, cooking competition meets variety show as Ramsay chats with surprise guests and VIPs in the dining room, hosts live remotes with people from across the country, and appears weekly in unique field segments with fans, foodies and culinary experts.

I have read that your dinner, when you eat at a very upscale restaurant, contains between 2 and 4 cubes of butter. That is why it tastes so much better than the version you make at home.

Actually it's true tho... You have to roll meant into flower and get rid of the excess in most stews and gravy based dishes. If you don't get rid of the excess the flower will form balls and cook on their own rendering your sauce lumpy and really gross.

I just made this for supper tonight. The recipe is generous enough for two people. I'm not sure about adding the diced lemon to the sauce in the end and my polenta was a total bust :( I'll be eating the other half of the chicken breast tomorrow with the left over sauce in the pan with egg noodles. It was fun trying and will attempt more of Chef Ramsey's recipes from now on.

Upsydasy Me If in your personal taste you didn't like the addition of the diced Lemons, then don't add it again the next time you make the dish. Maybe try a diced Orange (Citrus) of some kind you may like as substitute and see how that work instead vs the Lemons. But if you don't like that either, then absolutely just leave the part out about the lemons and don't add it. Gordon gave you a roadmap guideline for making the dish. But you certainly can change things up as you see fit in personalizing the recipe to "Your Own" taste or style. That's the beauty of recipes, they're like guides, but you can improvise to making it your own. But taste it in the end to see how you like it or if your missing anything else you could add to your taste..

Excellent! I've yet to lose with any of his recipes--in his restaurants or at home. The man is classically trained and highly experienced, under the best chefs in Europe and on his own. Nobody reaches his level unless their work is extraordinary. I'm glad he's doing simple classics for us; Julia Child did the same thing, as did Jacques Pepin. All three are highly reliable sources for well-above-average dishes!
@upsydasyme3351
@upsydasyme3351 6 жыл бұрын
You've completely missed the point. I love lemons and the point of learning a new recipe, as I did here, is to add your personal touch AFTER you tried it the first time. It is completely obvious that you don't keep making something if you don't like the result. Why don't you try it before criticising someone else's efforts. At least you'll know what you're talking about.

The secret to making the most amazing video guide is to keep it entertaining, but more importantly, cram as many memes into five minutes as you can. I have now seen at least 3 different versions of chicken cacciatore. Pasquale Sciarappa uses green and red peppers with onions, garlic and oill cured black olives and hand squeezed whole tomatoes and finishes it off in a 400 degree oven. Lidia Bastianich uses peppers and shitake mushrooms, omits the olives and cooks everything on the stovetop. Gordon only uses onions and tomato sauce and green olives and capers. I have to try all 3 before I pick a favorite. Of course presentation wise Gordon's looks the best.
