I had both in the bag for a two round tournament this past weekend, and used them equally through the event. Excellent distance and reliable flight paths were a good compliment to one another.

I bag both with ~330ft of distance. The gorgon is definitely what I wanted the trail to be, with a nice bit of flip and light fade to push for a straight flight. The trail is a touch more overstable than I expected and has slotted nicely into the 0 1 or 0 2 slot - only getting the expected turn in a headwind or on forehands. I think the fission trail will be closer to the gorgon in flight - both of which will be great bomber discs for those without 400ft+ of power.

If you are throwing 330ft you don’t need to be throwing a 10-11 speed they won’t fly as intended. My trail flips and rides perfect as intended

For someone who throws max distance of about 350 with a Tern. The trail is fairly stable and i get about 300 feet. The gorgon i can get out to 330 on a really good throw. I think the trail comes alive once you have closer to 400 max distance with your drivers. I keep them for fieldwork in hopes of some day i have the power for them.

The TD is pretty close. I feel like the Trail and Gorgon just got further. Maybe it’s the glide that does that.

I LOVE the Trail. It’s pretty much been my go to driver for almost everything. Also the Racer, that disc is awesome! I felt the Gorgon a few times in the store and hated it. I kept picking it up every time I was in the store but it just felt horrible in the hand. I never bought one.

If you are already Rockin’ the Trail, there’s not really a need for a Gorgon, unless you just need a less stable version of the Trail.

I bag both of these discs. The Gorgon is a G Star and a bit more under stable making the Trail and the Gorgon I bag much different. I agree 100% these two discs are the best discs to have come out in 2024 and will be hard to beat. If I had to pick a "winner" I would pick........................................................................ the Trail.

I love this comparison, very informative and creative. I had a gstar gorgon that was too flippy for me and I love the champ glow one. The trail is a little more stable than I anticipated, hopefully they’ll release a fission one!

I've noticed this. I play at 6k feet and at sea level regularly. Even just 6k feet makes my trail a laser beam. Sea level my trail will flip and pull over pretty easily.

Why waste good money on anything Innova glow? It's basically a daytime disc. I am optimistic about the Gorgon though. But at this time of year, I'm buying top tier glow only. I got my first eclipse Echo from Streamline and am quite impressed. Also a Lone Star which is pretty good, and a Lat64 Explorer moonshine which is ok. They're all brighter than my TSA Pathfinder and Mana which were my first and I had thought they weren't bad. BTW have you noticed how the Echo looks the same as a Mana(/Lobster/etc)?

It just depends on your arm speed which is better. The Trail is quite flippy for me especially once it beats in. Gorgon would only be a roller disc for me. But if you throw low 300's then I think the Gorgon is $$$. I would love if they came out with a slightly more stable trail. I heard the proton trail was not more stable. Too bad it is out of stock. 😢

He might’ve, but he also warned it was subjective. That last Gorgon shot really went above and beyond in a good way. I just did some more shots with the Trail today and really love it for the anny shots. Way more than the Gorgon.

@ for sure, I was just kidding. Gorgon is a my favorite disc because I have my personal distance PR with it and I like hyzer flips with it. I lose control of it a bit if any anny on it - just burns out to right. I have Gstar which is super flippy and Proto Glow, which is far more stable.
