Best sights I have ever used, hands down. All of Ultradyne’s products are top of the line.

great video, I love taking out my m48a , Swedes 38, 96, and my 03a3 to hit targets at 200. Good to go back to basics once in a while

I have drooled about these sights since I first saw them. But I've decided to remove all I don't need for match type shooting on my main rifle build, so just running 1-10 Razor and offset RDS. But the next time I need some irons for a rifle, these are the only ones I'm considering. I have 1 of their breaks, and you know it works well when no one else likes to shoot when my rifle is out 🤣That thing is loud and put out an impressive concussive blast on both sides of me!!

Their brakes are so brutal to our shooting buddies.

@The Social Regressive yea, I make my dad stand directly behind me. If he's on either side behind me, he gets blasted with the concussive force lol. Loud, but hight effective!!

Trimming the toenails of that ram. Nice shooting. What is that mat you're laying on?

It's a Midway competition mat. I'm a big fan until it sits in direct Oklahoma summer sunlight. You can practically cook on it.

❤Great shooting open sights. I’m impressed with your ability. There is that pain again of recoil that you know so well. Did you develop flinching by the end of the video?
@SocialRegressive
@SocialRegressive Жыл бұрын
Howdy, Jay! A little shift off the collarbone and the recoil was fine. I'll need to design a recoil pad for the Ripstock. I'll bet I could start with a small rifle pad from limbsaver.

Thank you 👍. I'm an open sights only guy and so many people today are brainwashed into thinking you can't shoot any kind of distance with sights. Now I want you to think about something You had some misses but how much have you really been using those sights? I think with some practice and knowing what trajectory and velocity those sights are designed for you could be much better very quickly. I had a 3006 bolt action with a red field aperture sight quarter click MOA windage and elevation and a standard post front sight and I used to compete with my friends that were using scopes at 300 yd and I would regularly beat them at least 90% of the time I would win. They were always so surprised. I just wish more people learned traditional shooting from traditional positions no bench and using sights they would become much better shooters much faster than trying to bench rest all the time. You know I've never found a bench out in the wild. Lol or in a self-defense situation. Thank you Thank you again that was great 👍

In the end, I realized my zero wasn't right. I always missed low. Once I get these squared away, they should be solid. I totally agree that more folks should spend time with irons.

@@SocialRegressive Yes definitely. I always set my iron sights to shoot 3 in high at whatever range I'm shooting and I take a 6:00 hold so that I'm not obscuring my target with the front sight. You'd be amazed how accurate you can be set up this way. Thank you have a good one 👍

Has anyone ever used their front sight base that attaches to the barrel using the barrel threads and their proprietary flash hider? I like the idea of the extra sight radius this affords, but I wonder about zero shift as the barrel heats up.
@SocialRegressive
@SocialRegressive Жыл бұрын
I tried one at a range day when the barrel was getting plenty hot. No problems. The big thing to watch out for is a sight radius that's too long. That front aperture gets awfully small awfully quickly. You can buy extra-large apertures, but it's still easy to get unmanageable.

@@SocialRegressive Great point! I didn't consider that. I would really like to shoot a few rounds using this set up. It seems like it would benefit a shooter with aging eyes. I LOVE iron sights, especially peep sights, but I'm getting to the age that they don't love me! ;-))
