So, I'm goth and I like to wear a beanie that says "Witch" on it whenever I'm having a bad hair day. I go into the local Kroger to get groceries and there was an elderly man greeting customers as they came into the store. He said hello to me and replied back with a hello and a friendly smile. He then noticed my beanie and said, "you're too nice to be a witch", in a complimenting tone. To which I reply, "we're not all bad" and started shopping. I get to the self check out and grab my receipt. I noticed him nearby and he was grabbing grocery baskets. I called out his name (looked at his name tag when I first saw him) and told him I had a basket for him. He takes it from me and said he'd walk with me to the door so we had a bit of small talk until we got to the exit. He told me, "have a nice day, god bless you." I turned around and said, "may god bless you too" and left. I may be a gothic witch, but I believe in a higher power, not quite like his god, but I believe it to be all the same just a different word/name for it.

Personally , I think Goth is a beautiful and cool way for one to express themselves. Not only have Goths, Bikers and Emos been my best and most supportive customers , I've had some the best conversations with those that mainstream society views as misfits when they've stopped by my booth at Festivals and markets. Even though I'm just an old guy who loves his tye dye and Hawaiian shirts , I love and appreciate those who are able to freely be themselves. BTW , love the rosary you're wearing ;)

Something similar happened to me maybe 3-4 years ago. I was on the bus, minding my own business, wearing all black and a bit eyeliner and my accessories, nothing extreme. And it was actually the first time I felt confident enough to wear what I truly wanted, keep that in mind. So there is this woman that keeps staring at me and I ignore her but then she opened her mouth. She said some horrible things about me that I should follow the Light and escape the darkness...my horns were already forming in my head because I could tell from miles away that she was religious. I don't have problem with religious people but I do have a huge problem with the fanatics. They are the people who need to stitch their mouth shut before I do it for them because they think everything involves around the Bible and that they need to take action when something is off and I hate them for it. With every sense of the word hate. Anyway, suddenly she called me a *"Devil's freak"* and spoke horrible about my parents and that they shouldn't let me walk around as a freak and that they failed as parents and probably they are as awful as me. That's when I snapped, no one talks about my parents like that. When I get a lot of angry I'm tearing up and thankfully for her, an older couple defended me because the things I was so close to tell this woman...oof. At the end the old couple came and sat next to me and tried to cheer me up which I am forever thankfull. They kept me company till they reached their destination. Thanks for reading and always speak when someone is insulting you or your family 💜 Also check out storybooth, they animate real stories from their audience and it's super cool.

I had something...more positive. Back in the days I was able to colour my hair I had blue hair. Like...blueberry blue. Standing at a street and waiting for the traffic light to flip green. There was a little boy with his mother next to me. He stared at me, turned to his mother and asked very loudly "why does this girl have blue hair?". His mother was not amused and tried to silence him with a "shhh...don't ask other people questions". I thought -why not?-, turned to the boy, smiled and said "you know, I love blueberrys but I ate to much. And now my hair is blue", thinkin -that is something positive...fruits and vegetebales are good-. The traffic light went green and I started to cross the street when I hear the little boy behind me saying "mommy, can I have some blueberrys for dinner?" :D

One of the lady's say " poor child" and the other lady responded to her friend " as long the child is happy, I don't see a problem". I wanted to clap to the lady but I had a coffee in my hand 😂😂 besides that I just get stares especially when I'm with my son.

You have such a sweet personality sister thanks for sharing and representing the Goth community! I love my Goth friends but I'm not a Goth, I'm a witch. Still people confuse me as a Goth because I religiously wear dark clothing, makeup, having darkness as my friend, conduct public rituals in parks that freak people who pass by and I'm completely different from "Normal Society". I been called Satan's Daughter, an Abomination, a Witch, Morticia, Wednesday and a freak in which I reply "Thank you" ha-ha! I'm a Christian and when I used to go to church, people would sing "Come as you are for Jesus" while giving me the dirtiest stares from the Christian barbie dressed women lol. I think the best moment of church was when the preacher asked if anyone wanted to be saved to come on up to the front, and everyone turned around and looked at me ugh! So you know what I did? I looked back pretending to see if anyone was behind me needing to be saved and looked back at them and shrugged my shoulders. 😉 It helps to have a good sense of humor and is a plus when you have a bubbly personality and kind soul. That is what I see in your video and want to thank you for showing your humanity, your independance and priceless worth to the world that is a blessing to have you with us! 🖤

When I go shopping and an employee treats me like this, I leave and never come back. It makes me feel so uncomfortable I never want to feel like this again so I shop online instead. I still remember the first time an employee acted nicely to me, after I paid for my stuff I took the time to thank the lady (she was about my mother's age, which surprised me because they're usually the most judgy ones lmao) for treating me like a human being instead of a criminal and I just started crying in front of her. I'm incredibly lucky that I've never gotten any negative reactions, and I largely attribute that to living in Sweden where we've got this culture of keeping to oneself and not talking to, going near, or hardly even looking at strangers (the thing you mention of people sitting next to you would not happen here, people would almost rather stand up on the bus than sit next to a stranger). I have been informed by my mother that people do look at me, but they apparently at least stop when I look at them because I haven't noticed it. For the most part people just completely ignore it, and on the rare occasion that anyone does say anything it has only been compliments. I am EXTREMELY grateful to live where I do, being a huge introvert who just wants to go about my business in peace I could not imagine living in a place where random people might interact with me haha

Being a big ugly guy has generally insulated me from a lot of that. The people who do that kind of thing, like most bullies, generally aim at someone they see as weaker. The closest was a bible thumper who assumed that I was a BDSM "top", which is wrong--no problem with it so long as it's consensual but not my thing--but apparently had selective deafness and was unable to hear any explanations otherwise.

Last thing I wanna is scared em off simply because there tired receiving bothersome annoyance from judgement folks. It is sad they have to get themselves out there with caution just because they can’t be accepted super publicly. Especially if you just want to be accepted for who you are, and not harming anyone or anything. Then the casual guy making themselves look like evil people because we don’t like what clothes see. 🙄 It’s annoying, it’s old, society sucks. I have to worry about being harshly disturbed, and potentially threaten. Screw that. The moral of the story, you don’t know who the person is.

Although I would like to do a Hellriser performance to the person who treats you badly, nobody but you can put a limit on it. Don't be afraid and think of it as a stage or a game. The first few times out there you fail, but as soon as you realize that you are still alive and there is no harm in reality (unfortunately, because I find the idea of sticking my fangs in the face and neck of the one who fucks me). .. Well, it will matter more to you to get to do what you have to do (because we all have the same right) than what the other person is doing ... Everything can be spoken with respect and diplomacy, and if not , well, start speaking in Latin, at most they run away because they think you are summoning a demon XD And you will have a beautiful smile for a while = D About you and the Church: Damn it! Since I'm more of a pumpkin goth, I get the Halloween comments a lot. Heck, I even got one just the other day when I was at Wawa with my fiancee getting food! I just tell them "Well, who wouldn't want Halloween to be all year?" and then continue with my day if they receive that negatively. I have been prayed for before, but it was out of love and at a pride event in summer so there was almost no black on my body 😂 Though if I get the Satanic comments, I just mention that I'm a part of the Satanic Temple and say they were the ones that brought religion into it. You get that a lot with the upside-down cross motif, even though that's another Christian symbol from when one of Jesus' disciples said he wasn't worthy to die the way Jesus did and they crucified him upside-down. (Source: I went to a Baptist elementary school and actually was taught the Bible from Pre-K to 5th grade lol)

My soul has been sent to hell so many times it’s losing it’s rarity value. Do I have a problem with goths? No. Do I have a problem with people who look like you do? Again no. I tend to like people who are interesting and most goths I’ve met have been very interesting people. Keep being different and keep being interesting. I was once walking my dog and a young goth couple were walking along and my dog did what she always does which was give them a big toothy grin and wag her tail at them, she loves to say hello to people. They stoped, gave her a fuss and we chatted for a while. A few weeks later she did the same to an elderly couple on there way to church and the man threatened to hit her with his walking stick. So I know which kind of people I prefer.

Oh gosh ya I know this i’m not specifically goth but very alternative and I have a lot of in your face facial piercings like a septum as an example and I was at this ice cream place with my dad a few weeks ago and I had my dog with me so I was waiting outside while he got the ice cream and we were going to go for a walk and literally almost every person to look at me give me these disgusted looks and I saw older ladies whispering to other people and gesturing in my direction the only people that weren’t what is this little girl and her dad and her grandma because the little girl had come over and pet my dog and said that I was really nice

Can pink goth be a thing? I always loved the goth look but as I’m 31 now. And I don’t wear much black unless for work , I’d love to do a twist on the goth look but all pink instead of black 🖤💖

Overly religious guy is really lucky that she didn't call the cops on him for assaulting for physically assaulting a minor. Fact that someone wears majority of one color does not deplick their religious preference. Most guys I know are either atheist or agnostic a few pages here and there are some Christian got people I know. I consider myself more of a Gothic Punk with Justice with a lovely Little slice of metal but people have accused me being a poser and I've never claimed to be goth which is just hysterical. I would never sacrifice children or slice people's throats because seriously even if they are related to bigoted assholes from the boat Forum story wanting to I'd rather I think it'd be more of a of a more fitting face to while happens to suffer with a rifle own stupidity I would never drink goat's blood because I think goats Rock I think they're awesome animals but I would trying to go to Ram stupid people from bothering me so I can finish my grocery shopping and run around naked in the forest in peace

Hi, found your channel. I must first compliment you by saying that you awesome and very beautiful. I myself do not ID as Goth but I have always had a strong interest and enjoyment of all Gothic themed items, movies, literature, art, music, fantasy art, fashion and the like. I enjoyed your reaction video on this subject. In my experience when dealing with the general public and my understanding of human psychology is that people will react negatively to people, situations or both from a source of ignorance and fear. Because it is obvious that this particular folks do not understand what they are seeing and it bothers them on differing magnitude levels. Sorry, I wish not to ramble, but my take is that don't be mean to folks that are different or judge a book by its cover. Always treat everyone with the Golden Rule. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed your video, always be beautiful and stay dark and mysterious. Much love and friendship ❤ ❤🖤🖤👍🙏

But trench coats have so many pockets, you were clearly a rival seller trying to steal their customers by peddling whatever you carry in your coat 😏

Apparently i am not goth.... according to self proclaimed goths.... Never mind the babybat Cerberuses. Belonging to the darker parts of life's palette does make many of the same reactions happen. But little old ladies has had some of the sweetest reactions to how i look! ....could it be all my crusifixes , gothic architecture and flower jewelry, muertas, rosaries and stuff i wonder? ....just on my way to church granny... also...i love skulls, bats ghosts spiders....ect.., but never would wear upside down crosses and other anti-christianity or satanic imagery... ( no pentagrams are not satanic...unless it's upside down....it's called an Adam's cross in the upright position).

I couldn't drink goats Blood. 🤯There is a Dude on YT who drinks RAW Blood and eating RAW meat and critisizing vegan in all videos and saying that only meat is good for You. Like kinda sick meat guru. Drinking Blood I automatically I associate with him. 🤢 Like when You see it it is traumatic expierience. I understand eating meat and all that but why to be so vicious and spread negativity all the time. It's just something I really do not stand.

Why does the animation gives me a pbs kids vibes with total drama. Anyways people can be total jerks from what they beliefs are. They fear what is hidden beyond the unknown. Darkness is misunderstood same as goths. They chose to become dark because they see it as cool and normal every day life as boring.

Old people are judgemental, boring, and close minded. Men are also gross. 😒 Edit: I’ve had old ladies stare at me so meanly lol
