Bro is going through the whole main character arc: 1- Tries his hardest to achieve an objective and gets better and better at it. However every time he fells short and the distance between his dream and reality ever seems larger by the day. 2- Tired and frustrated he leaves the scene to lurk in the shadows. Now he has become ordinary, your average guy you see on the average street. He may have mastered his craft but needs to master his mind. 3- Comes out from his slumber and destroys every established side character. This, is the start of his redemption arc. 4- SACRIFICE THE ROOK B1!

I love how Hans was melting down about this video coming, but the video was actually very respectful and generous to Hans. Things like "hyping up his audience" for laughing at Levy and his abilities, excusing Hans' mistakes, just everything Hans' stream wasn't. I'm sure Hans wasn't actually as mean spirited as the stream across, the compliments of Levy finding positions disguised to keep Hans' bad boy persona, but it's still a pretty amazing contrast of what Hans was expecting and what Levy actually made.

It's fascinating to see Hans's whole "Levy, you're supposed to choke! This is not Levy Rozman!" reaction. He's thrown off because he expects Levy to make certain mistakes based on his past performance, while Levy's recent training (and the effects of hiding his opponents' identity) have mitigated Levy's weaknesses in terms of his reactions and stress levels. And like Hans said after the game, he played worse because he thought about how embarrassing it would be to lose to Levy . It really shows the importance of temperament and mental game in chess, how it can be as important as knowledge, calculation, reaction time, etc.
@victorkao14725 ай бұрын

@adamestes97455 ай бұрын
@@victorkao1472 I mean, being put on a GothamChess Thumbnail is a good thing. Even when losing, Gotham does a good job of showcasing people's skill and giving props to this. In this video, Gotham is highlighting how good Han is, and the fact that it's blitz so a single win doesn't mean much. Now, the KZbinrs that are showing Hans whining like a baby the entire game and constantly insulting Levy? Those are the videos you don't want to be on. Being in a Levy video is almost always a good thing and gives a big boost to people's renown. It's just up to the person to make it so people don't hate them, and Hans failed miserably at being a decent person.

Once you are to gm (which feels inevitable at this point) I’d love to get a whole video laser focused on thoughts on how you changed from a sports psychology perspective. They should be scared of you, you don’t even know who they are 😂 You really deserve the smile at the end, plus who doesn’t love seeing entitled Hans so angry and defeated. Congrats Levy. The side by side of this game was probably the best thing I have seen for a long time.

Hans was acting arrogant. I feel so nice seeing him rage after loosing.

I’m a chess noob but have listened to your vids for about a month. The way you’re changing your narrative is great. Have that self confidence.

I've been watching you for only a year, but it was IMMEDIATELY obvious that you had talent, but you didn't have the right mentality. It has been very satisfying to see you overcome that, it gives us hope that we imperfect viewers can do likewise with our own inadequacies. And given the fact you have done so while platforming yourself to millions speaks volumes. Good for you.

@@ViweBaloyi yeah I think he was referring to the future. Like in the future, the first American to win the World chess championship again will be Levy. This or something

This is awesome, i’ve watched your videos for a very long time and I always thought you might be one of the best chess players to ever play chess. You just have to get over your second-guessing your instincts.
