This made my morning. As someone who impulsively started a business to fund my Uni studies 2 years ago, I jumped straight into biz knowing literally nothing about anything, and just using my intuition ('whAt FeLT RiGht') as my compass for all business decisions. 2 years later, and I'm switching course by intentionally going back to square one and learning all the basics to proactively build on what I've created and start a slightly different biz that will look more like a platform than a personal brand biz. So this was incredibly helpful. Key things learnt: - Found most surprising: YOU DON'T HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL! You don't need to do something COMPLETELY new. You just have to find the issue of already existing products and do it BETTER. Often I've felt so insecure that my ideas weren't original enough, but the problem you're solving can just be an improvement of pre-existing products. Can be as small as aesthetics or price point. - Learnt most about: Specific AI prompts. Had literally never thought to request a brainstorming sesh on chat GPT or look for emerging trends. - Most intriguing: The website/resource suggestions for where to find competitor/market stats. Literally so useful. Gonna go analyse the boring stuff now lol.

Great comment! I literally want to reiterate all of your learning points! I feel the exact same… 😅 You don’t need to reinvent the wheel, thinking I need a totally original idea to get started 🤦‍♀️ Great AI prompts 🙌 I already use AI to support but think I can be giving more specific prompts. & yes to those market research tools, I wish I knew about them sooner. ❤

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

Grace, I had to share this - my fiancé is building a product and has been diving into this series with so much excitement. We sat down for dinner, and I put this video on the TV, thinking it would be a casual watch… but it turned into an incredible brainstorming session! The way you break down the steps really hit home for her. She’s rethinking her approach and applying your principles on identifying the problem, and she’s so pumped! Thank you for putting out content that not only inspires but genuinely moves the needle. 🙌💡

Grace gave us the cheat code!!! Listen…everything you will need to make that first step was SPILLED! My notes are FULL! Here are my key takeaways as someone that’s been working on an idea: 1. There’s an audience-first approach and a problems-first approach when it comes to validating your idea 2. There are different ways to bring a competitive edge when you think about how to solve your target audience’s problems. There are other ideas and iterations you can come up with. 3. You can test your ideas with AI! She even gave us prompts! ✨✨✨ 4. Rate your idea by its desirability, integrity, viability and feasibility 5. Embrace having competitors in your space. Study them then carve out your unique space! I can’t wait for the next drop. This is more helpful than I can express thank you to you and your team! 🧡

Great video. I am doing dropshipping with AI tools, and even thought they help so much it comes down to having great winner products (I personally love using a bit of winnerzila or something similar). In the last three months with this strategy my sales have increased by over 100%. Just last week I had over 400 sales only in pets niche.

Your points about harnessing AI to pull apart your business idea and provide optimisations, I found really important and helpful. Thank you for your consistency and belief in us. You help me believe in the impossible every time I watch your podcasts. Also, your humor is golden and a gift from God. Never lose it! Here's what I learned 1) I was most surprised by the amount of time and critical thinking involved when curating a thriving business. 2) I learned that every business is a solution to challenges in people's lives. You can even use yourself and your pain points as an audience and use AI to refine your ideas. 3) I found that there is a difference between a cool and useful business idea most intriguing. A business idea must solve an immediate and competitive problem.

So far no surprising facts or questions but definitely a compliment: GRACE, THANK YOU! This is what this generation needs. This is a beautiful masterclass covering all the basics. When you read “7-figure business idea” nowadays it’s “coaches” telling who to become a “coach/influencer by working less than 2 hours a day” but no one talks about all the work that goes into creating a sustainable business! This is amazing from you to share. Thank you!🎉

In a world of vapid short form content, this was a breath of fresh air. Someone who has actually done it, sharing a framework start to end. This video doesn't re-invent the wheel, but the relief of knowing that by following these steps you've covered the basics - IT'S SO NICE. I can come out of this and not have the feeling of 'Am I missing something?' One video with everything I need, versus piecing together 200 unvalidated LinkedIn posts and a dozen articles. I loved the innovation sweetspot map, comparison matrix and market maps only because there are so many 'methods' and it's hard to actually know which to use and when to apply them. Epic series Grace

Wow Grace! Your commitment to effectively communicating these complex topics in a way that is easy to understand and takes all the guessing out of the game is something that is worth praising! This video explained so many topics I have been struggling to understand for years now! I didn’t go to school for business but have wanted to start my own journey as an entrepreneur for a long time. Starting a business, as you know, has a lot of complex steps and strategy that goes along with it in order to be successful. Until now I had never come across anything that has described the process so completely and in a way that is digestible and easy to understand. I’ve never thought about using AI to help with product development and marketing, two things that seem very abstract to me. Your step by step guide is very easy to follow and I will be returning to it throughout my product development process! Excited for all the help this will bring me in changing my life! Thank you Grace for your time and for so freely giving your knowledge to help others grow alongside you. Truly inspiring!

First of all I want to say THANK YOU. I think you just made a lot of information accesible to a lot of people (I know you did for me) and in a very in depth but simple way. I think the most surprising part of this first video was the "you don't need something brand new or something that was never made before" to have a business. I often think of "this is already in the market I can't do it" and it was very eye opening to think that maybe it is on the market BUT maybe I can do it in a different way because of price, quality, etc. I found the AI part veeeery intriguing. I didn't think of AI as a way to help me create a business or even do research for it. That was amazing. Lastly, I watched the whole video in one sitting which for an AHDH brain is unheard of. Then I rewatching it two times as a lecture and taking notes. It was a lot of information but also so well structure that it didn't felt like it, if that makes sense. And as a final note, I'm from Uruguay, a very small country in South America and I'm always thinking I can't do certain thing because of it and now I just think maybe that's an opportunity. You just make me think things in a different way. Thank you, excited about the next one!

Hi Grace, thanks for creating this - I'm an OG follower and was so hoping this would be coming soon! What I learned the most was that, as simple as it sounds, the idea doesn't need to be lifechanging, or reinventing the wheel! What I found most surprising was the example you used (the Suri toothbrush) is so simple about removing all the bells and whistles. But the thing I found most intriguing was that you mentioned not pigeon-holing yourself at the start. There's so much chatter about niching down that I often find myself parking ideas that might work so well, but don't quite tie in with my niche. Really thought provoking video, look forward to tomorrow's!

Wow the notes I have from this video alone are incredible! I feel like I can so easily hop from idea to idea and jump in way to quick without thinking so in depth about the competitors, whether the idea is actually what people want or what I think would work.. so THANK YOU! What I learn most about: - How many options there are to do market research, using the BoRiNg sites and newpapers and that you just need to dig that little deeper, and put that bit more effort in by using these available tools, to get a better level of understanding What I found most intriguing: - How you can already start thinking about product iterations and how to scale the business even from the starting point, so then tying in the brand voice to be able to launch more under the same hat to keep the business stainable and long term I was surprised by: - How deep the ideation process can be and how you can have a lot of ideas to start, without having to pigeon hole into a niche too soon (guilty of doing this before!) Heading straight over to watch the next video - thank you Grace! ✨

I think across all elements - what I learnt most / found the most surprising / most intriguing is the same overarching concept - an idea is not at all about “reinventing the wheel”!! It’s about having an understanding of your audience, realising how to approach that with a unique perspective and embracing competition. Also don’t be scared of AI. There’s so much fear surrounding technology that is misplaced where we should instead be using that as a resource. THANK YOU!!

But this made me realize how powerful it can be to deep dive into what's already out there, find the gaps, and come up with something unique.

I absolutely loved this video. I have been working on my first business for the last week and I found this video so helpful to really bring it back to the beginning and ask myself the necessary questions before feeling fully confident to go ahead with my idea. I never knew Chat GBT and AI could be useful in so many ways. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. Already looking forward to video 2. Thank you Grace x

Okay just took so many notes. Thank you so much for posting this one. Honestly, the market research piece is what I found to be the most helpful. So far I have only started service-based businesses with my own audience but have been really wanting to start a product-based business that isn't fully relevant to the current community that I have built so I am going to be starting from scratch. So having these other areas like Tiktok Trends and the financial times are the places I never event would have thought to check. This is honestly so amazing and I appreciate you doing this so much!

Love your videos so much Grace, it has really helped me on my entrepreneurial journey. This is my 3rd time going through this video because something clicked in my brain and the business I have been searching for all this time all of the sudden popped into my head when watching this. You are a true inspiration especially as a woman in business and how much you have accomplished. Nice to see a content creator that is a true business woman, appreciate you.

Thank you so much for this incredible video! I absolutely loved the "problem-first" approach you highlighted - it really shifts the focus to solving real-world issues, which makes business ideas more meaningful and sustainable. The way you broke down the process of using AI to brainstorm and research was super insightful, especially combining that with the innovation sweet spot map. It makes the entire process of coming up with a idea feel both strategic and achievable. The practical tips and frameworks you shared are gold! Appreciate all the value you provided.

Grace consistently mentions that your idea does not have to “reinvent the wheel” … this is an issue I have when sitting down to think of an idea. My mind always wants to create something that doesn’t exist, which is very hard to know what could solve somebody’s problem that doesn’t exist. It takes a very imaginative person. Apparently, I am not lol but daily there is a thing that I do or product that I use that I think oh I wish… If only… When these ideas come, I think I should start writing them down!!

This is me lol. The hard part is wanting to make something right now. But usually for me I just stumble on a problem that I feel like I could solve 😂 Only problem is that once I think of a solution I don’t know what to do next 😅

You could start by creating a touch list or a complaint list. Write down what you touch everyday and write down if there’s anything that annoys you about that thing or the process In which you use it. Basically, scratch your own itch but make it as easy and straightforward as possible. This has helped me find an idea that I am currently validating.

Industry research is often neglected but the take away was where you point out what is accessible around us. The content here helps realign the process - adjusting your thoughts on problems around your concept. In doing so you can hone in on building that something that can be socially head turning, must wanted, affordable to a new audience, a product that will spread or develop the start of a brand that begins a journey on the road to building reputation and reach. Am creating a furniture concept atm and also working on a historic site to develop out in the property sector which is my core business.

This video was truly so insightful and full of so much valuable information. Step 2 of the video which discussed leveraging AI when it comes to testing and trialing your business idea was truly such important information in this digital age we live in and I really enjoyed learning more about that, and the prompts you shared with us was so helpful. But throughout the whole video, the way you were able to articulate and explain all your points so clearly makes the process of starting your own business seem so much less overwhelming and approachable which has been my biggest problem in my journey so far, and I can't wait to watch the two videos that are still to come. Truly thank you so much Grace for taking the time to always go above and beyond for us!!

Grace, thank you for this - I am about to start my final year at Uni and hope to start my business very soon. So this has come at the perfect time! The most surprising thing is that a business can be PLANNED, it is always spoken about as a 'lightbulb moment', but how you challenge this assumption is very empowering! Amazing tools and advice, thank you!

This video change the game completely for me. I am the kind of person who finds business ideas in everything but, as you said, not very thing is a good business idea Things I really found interesting: - You don’t have to reinvent the wheel: I have wasted so much time trying to find a new product, needs, something that wasn’t invented and, that was not the way. Finding something that is already there and making it a bit better, easier to use, safer to the environment could be the way forward -Definitely learnt about how to use AI to my advantage. I never knew how to use it however, I alway though it was a tool people use to in other way other than brainstorming or finding out about current trends and how a product is doing in the market. Looking forward to learning more in todays video

AHHHH this is like so perfectly curated. A major takeaway is how to approach using AI, taking note on how to get better answers by essentially asking more precise questions. Lots to learn in the next few days & coming to see you talk in Leeds in October too :) Thanks for making what feels like a typically gated community accessible for everyone. xx

Really love the video! I’ve found it really interesting how you’ve framed competitors as validation that you should enter a market as opposed to being put off by that - shows that there are customers with a need but doesn’t necessitate that existing companies are doing the best job at addressing those needs!

I think the most interesting is how much information is actually out there to support your idea, competitors and gaps in the market and with the use of AI can actually be researched relatively quickly and seamlessly, like you said it doesnt have to be a huge task but it will be one of the key factors in preparing your business for market that could set you up for success in the long run.

I’m in the wellness business since 2021 and everyday is a learning curve from my own customers, to social media, to finding new ways of adapting within my business. Love what you do and how you have dissected this video, very easy to follow and OMG….. so many golden nuggets here from how to understand your market, accessing data’s, surveys, using your competitors to validate concepts in the market. I had to stop the video several times to take notes, love the example you used as this is in my market niche and glad you covered how to analyse competitors to understand where I fit in and to leverage what’s customers are already loving in that market. Never heard of the sweet spot map but will be looking at this today. Overall really enjoyed your video and learnt so much and will definitely be looking out to all your videos. Thank you 🙏🏽

Absolutely amazing video Grace. Ive been folllowing you for years and have seen how you have been able to not only start but scale success businesses and it has been an inspiration for me. I love how you’re always so transparent and willing to help. This video has honestly helped me so much I’ve had business ideas but haven’t know how to really start or see if it is a business that I can actually scale. It’s daunting and this video has help so much and it’s only the first one. honestly pulling my business idea apart makes so much sense and it wasn’t something I even thought to do before. I also knew AI could help me but I didn’t realise how much I could actually utilise it, it’s so overwhelming and being able to really utilise AI is going to make it just that little bit easier to really understand my market, my business and see if it is actually viable.

Incredibly insightful and I've made so many notes. Thanks so much for continuing to inspire so many of us to take the step into entrepreneurship. With so few businesses with female founders gaining the traction or investment they deserve and plenty of free but not hugely helpful resources it's so refreshing and completely on brand that you'd smash this one out of the park to provide short yet detailed genuine advice. Your take on AI and the ability to leverage it to assist (particularly when there are so few people talking about it) is incredibly useful. I have been using AI to research my ideation but never to such a granular level - already the results have been a great starting point to build upon and it was reassuring to hear competitors in the space shouldn't put you off but encourage you to pivot to better solve a problem. Can't wait to watch the next one.

This was SO TIMELY ❤ Thank you. Your knowledge is always your biggest asset and yours doesn’t disappoint. The thing I loved the most about the video was the suggestion to use AI… no one and nothing will ever show up and ‘do it for you’ (ie , everything has an error rate) but it can be such a valuable tool. I also loved your advice to watch it as if it was a lecture or someone gave you this as an assignment. As someone who just graduated with a PhD and is deciding whether to get a job or create one, no matter what route you pick, reengagement with the material is always key. Refreshing in a sometimes one-and-done kind of world. Thank you again. I’m on to video 2!😊

Ive had a business idea for a very long time but have been scared to almost take the first few steps not knowing which direction to go or how to start. One thing I would like to thank you for is telling me to challenge myself about my idea. I have never thought to challenge myself on why I think that my idea is a good one, is it viable or realistic. Firstly, I'm already excited for the new product that is to come - I know it is going to be so useful! I've never considered using AI (I feel unless you have been shown otherwise, more tech savvy or in the industry, it's something you don't even think/know about!). I also think the importance of not seeing competitors as a bad thing, I've been put off a few idea as I thought other people are doing similar/same, when really it offers some form of validation of your idea.

Thanks Grace for the awesome video, can’t wait to watch the other two. You’re so right about not having to reinvent the wheel. It’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting to come up with something truly original that’s never been seen before, but sometimes the best ideas can be right there in front of your eyes. Sometimes it’s simply about improving a product you already use or taking a simple idea and making it amazing through branding and marketing! 👏🏻 Thanks for reminding me of that!

Loved this and found it useful to take my current natural skincare business (ruva skincare) and then take it a step back on the problem it solves and think of other products that solve that problem! It is so so helpful to flip the process to the problem frist approach as it may feel obvious what bodycare solves but exactl what what of it and what then makes my own products unique against the other products already available and making sure that is clearer - thank you excited for the next episodes ♥ happy to have some more interesting for my drive home 😄
