Thanks for the video, I’ll def be referencing this in the future! My daughter still needs to be rear faced but I’m confused on how to adjust the harness straps 😩 it’s just so tight to put her into, it would help to loosen it up before tightening again once she’s in.

Thanks for watching! I know for this particular seat you have to lift the headrest up to free up more slack in the seat belt, then you can lower it again once you’ve adjusted the straps to a more comfortable point. Wishing you the best of luck!

Thank you! It seems like the shoulder straps are pretty tight and won’t fit a kid that gets to 65 lbs. how do you get more slack on the straps? My son is not huge by any means and seems to be tight on him already. He’s 25 lbs.

My 2 year old is slightly tall for his age, so getting additional shoulder strap slack was something I had to do with him as well. You can adjust some of the the strap slack along the back board of the seat but… you will free up more shoulder strap if you lift the headrest up (by grabbing the grey adjustment button and lifting up)…. Will this make more room for the shoulder straps? My son is about to be 2 next month and they are getting to be to tight on his shoulders. He’s very tall for his age so they push down when I buckle him in… if that makes sense😅 thanks.

If you want to create more space with the shoulder straps you can lift up the headrest one notch and it will give you some more space on the shoulders.

The straps came with the seat but Amazon has replace straps for Graco products though.

I cannot seem to get the car seat to be tight enough with the straps. I changed them to the forward facing and the carseat is moving way more than it should and we can't seem to get it to tighten! Help! any suggestions?

Check out this video link below, that I posted with the step by step install for forward-facing seats. In short, I use the wedge method (placing myself in between the drivers seat and the car seat) and pushing toward the back of the car, while also pushing down. How does this compare to the Graco 4 ever? It looks like the same seat

That’s a great question, I don’t have much 1st hand experience with the 4ever seat but the 4ever seat seems to be the more popular model, and it works with more of their travel systems. For the little I have looked into it, they do appear to be similarly constructed though.

It would be helpful to show installing and securing the seat in the car, not just securing the tether. I have the same car seat and cannot for the life of me get the seat secure enough for it not to slide around.
