I can't understand where Sasha got the idea for Borat, He looks Turkish or Bosnian, certainly no Kazakh. I have been to Kazakhstan several times and it's a lovely country, one of the best outcomes from the end of the Soviet Union. The hills and (in winter) skiing around Almaty are incredible.
