Have been driving the M6 out of loyalty to a local brand. Sad to know it's not only my bad driving skills that make this car seem horrible. I wish PD would add the more recent M4 GT3 already like ACC did last year. Well, unfortunately the list of Gr. 3 cars is severely outdated in GT7 in general, which is quite disappointing.

The McLaren is very competitive around most tracks it is very stable has good turn in and is pretty quick on the straights. It's not the best at really any track but is good everywhere

I think they simply fail to model what an outside tire will do when it encounters the rumble strips intended to upset an inside tire, or what braking over grass actually does to a race car. But if we were after a realistic experience, we'd all be playing iRacing instead.

@@impega1957 custom gearbox, make sure your top speed is no more than 253. This will free you up an extra 20 or so pp to play with without making a noticeable difference in that race. It’s kind of an exploit but it only works for the lower class races.

In 2000 I was driving a rainy weather national race in gokart. (not reverse grid, position was decided by points) On the last lap of a 4 heat race I overtook the guy in 4th in the last corner of the race because he slid slightly. I was 5th and this resulted in my jumping that same guy in the total standings of the race to 3rd. Felt so good. The overtake was awesome, being rewarded for it was awesome, the result was fair. Reminds me of 7:59, although the driving IRL is much more tight.

When adding a turbocharger, racing transmission and soft racing tyres the cars basically come out with about 790bhp - the difference between cars comes with weight and location of the engine within the car - mid range gives it the best balance. In my experience the best cars are the Subaru BRZ and Volkswagen Beetle (I know but it is very light, powerful and small). I have both the Porsche and Peugeot but have yet to try them on the track..

Just another way to make you spend money, BOP means a meta car like it did in sport, don't have the car then your not competitive, ya then have to grind if you don't have the credits or mxt it up, or you can just be happy to fight for minor places, because we arent all this talented🤣. And no one seems to have noticed that one make races don't supply the car anymore even in Nations cup. Another car you have to purchase.

Even in the tuning races everyone uses the same car though....and it's even more expensive because you have to buy the car and then by all the tuning parts to make it the "meta". No matter what they do BOP or not it's always going to be a thing.

I use the M6 quite a lot. I find that if you turn TCS to 1 it helps massively

i use it as often as possible. it was so hard to drive in sport that it felt like it made me better to drive it. i dont use tcs but it really taught me throttle control on a controller and the car does a lot better if you short shift it a lot more than other cars when grip is a problem. the car seems to have over lapping power bands in that you can short shift and hit a power band or you can rev a gear and hold it depending on what you need to do. it also almost never feels uncompetitive in races if youre driving ok.

Was able to do a 1.33.159 in the RSR. Granted i only have about 10 laps worth of practice in the car but looks like i have some work to do. My first sport race of my GT7 career, was a 3rd place. Lost out to two A+ drivers, i’m a B rate. 1st-3rd were within 1.5 seconds so i almost had it. Don’t know how i got paired up with A+ guys but happy to see i’m somewhat quick.

I did this race last night. My first GT7 Sport mode race. Probably the worst thing I've done. I said to myself, I know this track, I know this car, I am confident in my abilities racing here, I've done it before multiple times and even have a win here. So I practiced a solid 20 minutes, made sure I was consistent, and that I knew what I was doing. The race started with me P12, and I proceeded to have just one of the most awful races in GT history. I punted like 4 cars off the track. I constantly missed braking points. I made moves in all the wrong places. If this would have been a real race, I would have been black flagged for sure. I even got a 4 second penalty for destroying a poor guy's race. I do feel awful. But on the bright side, I went from P12 to P5, so not so bad of a result.
