Matt, the 4 wire connector could be for those who want to run a 3rd brake light or for someone using a large bike rack or motorcycle rack that would partially obstruct the tail/brake lights. A good many dirt bike racks have lights on them and wired for a 4 pin plug. The wall paper could use a little updating and the 3 seat couch is also a nice touch.

Another great aspect of the dinette being where it is and as large as it is...Is that it's adjacent to the living area and it looks as if you could see the TV as well. Just a nice open floor plan that allows everyone to interact more easily, than in most other traditional style trailers.

My neighbors bought this 5th wheel and it is absolutely beautiful! The no.1 disadvantage is when you travel and want to stop for a potty break your bathroom is closed off by the slide. Otherwise this a beautiful trailer.

The trailer hitch is great to attach the hitch bike racks, or the hitch storage rack for extra storage like generator etc.

Hi Matt and Will! This time there isn’t anything I dislike. I like everything so far. It’s a small fifth wheel but I think it’s great for as a ball as it is. Love the bathroom. And the seats across from the tv. And love the ushape dinette. Thank you Matt and Will. Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Liked the 240 better as you could access everything when the slides are in AND it had a refrigerator on the outside. No grill but at least a fridge! Wish they had a Bourbon rack instead of wine! LOL!

Great trailer. I personally have no problem with the folding steps. In fact I prefer them. They can be deployed in a smaller area and they don't dirty the floor. Also, if the unit is built stout enough to allow for a tow behind, I think it's a great sales feature to add that hitch receiver (where I would likely store a generator or bikes).

I really like this 5th wheel given the price, which I think is an outstanding value. I especially like the dinette in a smaller rig. I wouldn’t pull it with a 1/2 ton truck, but a 3/4 ton would be perfect. Oh, and what do you mean taking a poop isn’t a fun activity. Sometimes it feels so good to empty yourself, it can be fun, at least to me. Good review guys!

I love the plaid pattern on the seat backs. I love the big windows around the dinette, so you can sit at the table and enjoy the views. Those big windows are _awesome!!_ The design on the bottom of the couch....such nice touches! The only thing that I *am* disappointed about is that it doesn't have solar or a generator. But this one is really nice. The only big windows like that I've seen were on the uber expensive, custom ordered Lazy Dayz RV's. The price isn't bad, either. Thumbs up!

I own this model and yes you have to run the slide out to reach the bathroom. I thought it would be a deal breaker but it’s just a few seconds

I think a great challenge for any 5th wheel company is to make a short fiver that keeps its full wall-length closet, which is especially important if its supposed to be a fulltime unit.

Nice trailer for the size. I don't like not having a second escape door. Having survived two fires in the past. One by lightning. The second by a wiring fire in the walls. I feel like a second escape is worth thinking about.

Love the floor plan however It doesn’t look like you can access the bathroom with side in. We also like the rear receiver hitch for a bike rack or storage rack. What is missing is the stinky slinky bumper. Also we’re there outlets on those night stands for CPAP and phone chargers?

Somehow I missed this video. I'm watching it now on 9/11/2022, and this is now the 2nd smallest model in this line (the smallest is the 226RK), but this one looks the best to me. I even like it better than the bigger ones, mostly because I don't need the extra space and seating. Until recently, I never considered a fifth wheel, because I didn't want to spend a fortune on a heavy duty truck. Something this size is very appealing because I wouldn't have to unhook my B or B+ to go to the grocery store, and would still be around the same $100-150k total price range.

Just "imagine" if Grand Design produced motorhomes... so innovative and well designed!! I owned a Grand Design trailer in 2017, and it was awesome. Now have a class C by Thor... definitely not as well thought out as a Grand Design product! I think the ownership by Winnebago puts the kibosh on Grand Design motorhomes... they would blow Winnebago away!

I believe the rear hitch is for bike racks and scooter racks only, not for towing. which goes for every other TT and 5th wheel that has a hitch

This is a nice sized fifth wheel with a good price. Dislikes: 1 and 2 are identical to yours Matt. The carpet and steps need to be changed. 3. I want a bumper! (Hits Grand Design with a big clue stick) Likes: 1. Combo of dining, kitchen and living areas. Grand Design made an excellent setup. 2. Bathroom was well thought out and had plenty of room. 3. This RV is under 30 feet but it has a large amount of storage. Well done. Bonus Idea: The hitch could be used for a bike rack with the four pin connector used for a brake light on the bike rack. This fift wheel made it onto my favorites list fo RV's.

They're most likely the cheaper Schwinn mechanism, not something to advertise.

Yeah that one has the Schwintek mechanism. Not the most sturdy unit, but fine for a smaller slide like this one. Grand Design is pretty good at properly choosing slide mechanisms for slide size.

You may not have liked it as a mid roof but I think they designed it that way to save weight so it's half ton towable.

Missed the biggest problem with this 5 th wheel. The bathroom and bedroom are not accessible without opening the slide. I have a similar size 5 th wheel from a quality manufacturer where all are accessible when traveling.

This one I kinda like, I just wish the dinette had better cushions on the backrest and in general a more inviting seating that looks comfortable (this one doesn’t look comfortable at all) as a dinette can be used for so much more than just dining. Having grown up with caravan traveling, I honestly don’t know how many hours I’ve spent sitting or laying on the U shape dinette in the caravan just reading a book, playing on my GameBoy (the original grey one, I was born in 85 so) or just playing cards or board games with my parents, the dinette is just a great place for socializing so it needs to be comfortable. If I was to make a floor plan for this fifth wheel, I’d move the door a little more towards the front and sacrifice a bit of counter space in the kitchen, and I’d make the dinette larger with more comfortable cushions on it to make it more spacious and more comfortable which in turn makes it into a better bed when it’s converted into a bed. The caravans I’ve grown up with had a U shaped dinette in the back and a smaller dinette in the front, the front dinette could comfortably fit 4 people (2 on each side of table) and the U shaped dinette could comfortably fit at least 5 people just on the couches, and then it was possible to just put an extra chair on the floor to fit another person by the table. Vehicles in Scandinavia are with a very narrow aisle but that’s fine really

I dislike what y'all said plus: the wood covered refrigerator, it needs a 2nd a/c and a TV in the bedroom. How about adding clothes hang up to the left and right in the above the bed cabinets? I love the layout, the kitchen flip up counter (not in the way; could be left up), and the bathroom. Very nice 5th wheel! I'd buy this one.

I would like it prepped for a propane generator, with 3 propane tanks. I would purchase that length to fit in state and National camp grounds and boon docking. To heavy to tow with 1/2 ton truck safely, go to 3/4 at least, my opinion only. Towing and controlling are two different things truck manufacturers don’t want to talk about. Couch should be electric retract.

Like it when you snap your figures and awning is open. Please fall get it over with. Do not like the storage doors opening up. Wish it had a side out for the bed room and up grade with king bed. Shower should be bigger for two people. This look good for a couple with no kids. Needs a large closet. Would like to hear about using the awning to make a outdoor room with caves wall and scream windows. Like the refrigerator. The Shower does not work for me. That hitch is not for towing it for bike racks. It could be 4 to 5 feet longer. I would not use 1/2 ton truck to tow this.

On a short unit lime that a trailer hitch does make some sense, imo, so you can tow a cargo pod and make up for the main unit not having a lot of space. I'd use a bigger truck too, as a safety matter. Also, for boondocking, lack of gen prep I think is a big deal, especially since no solar to speak of. Hay 4th, Guys!

Kitchen and bathroom fixtures had to be replaced shower panels were not glued to the wall frig had to be replaced fresh water holding tank burst gas side of water heater quit all this in the first 16 months will trade in on different ,fifth wheel soon WILL NOT OWN ANOTHER GRAND DESIGN

Why is it "stupid" to tow behind a 29 foot 5th wheel? You said first it is not 1/2 ton towable really so if you have a 3/4 ton what is wrong with adding a rack or something? I don't appreciate you saying things like your stupid if you try to tow something behind a 5th wheel. I think you need to first find out who the driver is going to be. Anybody that's ever been a tractor trailer driver, has a class A licence, can tow at 29 foot fifth wheel and tow something behind the fifth wheel quite easily. Now if you've never ever towed anything and this is your first time doing any type of towing then no you may not want to tow anything behind it. That may not be the wisest decision, but using the word stupid I think is not the right word to use and I think you need to watch what you say
