I’m expecting GTA 6 on console going to run at 30fps and 720p resolutions with force Raytracing. On PC the minimum specs would be only for high end PCs and nothing else because Rockstar cannot optimize their games for anything.

On 9th gen, it's still 540-1080p at 25-42fps! 😂😂😂😂😂 On mid and higher PCs it's at least 1080p locked 10-120fps, but has very occasional drops into the 70s. I doubt gta6 will even break 1440p on PC, let alone console! With the size of the map and the supposed VAST amount of NPCs...I truly wonder if it'll even break 45-50fps on consoles!

Not too optimistic about that. How many, MANY flops have we gotten from former devs from big studios trying to recapture the games they're known for making? Mighty number 9, back 4 blood, the calisto protocol, there's more, I just can't remember them off hand. Hell, look at Respawn games. Former devs that made call of duty the powerhouse it is. They came out with titanfall and nobody played it until it wasn't supported anymore, they did the jedi games and while they're good, you can see the microtransaction hell slowly creeping in to that series already and now they're stuck milking apex legends until they die.

I think it's crazy seeing people say this game that hasn't even showed gameplay, will be "the best game of all time". I don't think GTAVI will be as profitable as GTAV. I think the huge budget will make it hard to compare with GTAV which had a budget over 10x smaller. GTAV made about 40x it's budget, if GTAVI is going to make that much it'll need to sell $80 billion. For scale, at $70 per copy that's over 1.1 billion copies. Ofcourse it won't just be copies sold, but that $80billion number is still insane.

The hype for GTA 6 is reminiscent of the hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 before its launch in 2020, and we know how that turned out. This scares me a lot. I've enjoyed the GTA games since GTA 3 on the PS2, but the anticipation for this one is over the top-as if Jesus Christ is about to be reborn. I actually think this is going to be Rockstar's first major blunder. The reason GTA 5 did so well was that they didn't expect the online component to be as successful as it was, nor did they anticipate the PC side to thrive with modding and RP servers. My worry is that they will try to build this game based on how GTA 5 is now, rather than how it launched. Plus, I think Rockstar's game design has become more handholding over the years. To be honest, I still believe GTA: San Andreas has more features than GTA 5.

Nobody wants to manage a character's weight and strength like a survival game nowadays in a gta game. It was cool at the time, but it is definitely nostalgia that would make you think it had more or even better features. Gta 4 on the other hand, did have more stuff to do; making friends and such. But even that became a chore after the initial thrill wore off.

To be fair, every single time a new gta game has come out, there have been endless clones trying to replicate what they do. Most have been terrible, but that practice is how we got Saints Row, before it became a parody of itself within a couple sequels. It's an ongoing cycle that has been there forever. A game becomes highly successful and everybody tries to copy it. It's why so many open world games are just ubisoft knock offs, sometimes with shinier graphics (looking at you, the majority of Playstation exclusives). We got it with battle royale and fortnite, hero shooters and overwatch, interactive movie games and a combination of heavy rain and Telltale games, the list goes on and on. Part of the problem is people demanding new games every week and companies expecting billion dollar returns on every release. We're quickly getting to a point where nothing will ever be good enough for the consumer and no amount of profit will ever be good enough for the higher ups. So, I think you are right in wanting it all to crash. There's nowhere else for the industry to go except down at this point.

This is definitely a old man yelling at the clouds moment but I actually kind of agree because the hype for GTA 6 gives me PTSD of Cyberpunk 2077's launch and I was one of the people who fell for the hype and preordered the game only for it to be a mess on release. The trailer looks like pc footage and probably is, don't think that the low mid range hardware from 5 ish years ago will push any boundaries. It has nothing to do with Rockstar or with how well they optimize for the consoles, they just don't have the power to run well optimized on high settings especially not 4k native. At best you'll get medium settings with that little bit of raytracing that the consoles are capable of with a massive amount of upscaling and less NPC's just so they can hold 30fps and the ps5pro might be able to run the same settings with slightly less upscaling or higher quality raytracing at 30fps aswell cause the CPU just isn't strong enough. Sorry not sorry but the consoles just don't have that type of compute power to back up that promise.

I played GTA IV and it was a great experience, but, playing GTA 5 was meh. GTA 6 seems to incorporate RDR2 conversation system. I don't expect the game to revolutionize anything

I like the GTA series, but im really not optimistic for gta 6, especially after looking at how they treated 5 Unfortunately, I genuinely think its just going to be gta 5 all over again but with better graphics + hair physics, and no real innovation. Over the past 10 years I'm so done with rockstar BS, I bought and play GTA V on ps3 and bought it again when it went on sale on steam in 2016. In 2023 I want to play it open the game but can't access it, my game somehow bind to someone else social club ID and I can't unbind it, support won't help, their server keep getting hacked and ton of people have the same problem as I do. F**k GTA 6 why would I buy their game if I can't even play it.

I think it would be about the same as rdr2. People say the gameplay has not changed (me included). Playing it when it gets cracked and then realizing the story is amazing. The problem is rockstar needs to hit lightning in a bottle twice. The problem is people don’t realize how much of a dog shit company rockstar has become just cause they make good games. If the industry is just going to try to copy GTA6 if its proven to be successful then the industry deserves to crash, wouldn't be Rockstar's fault either because its not like they told everybody to be creatively bankrupt and have a horrible go at it. That metacritic user score of GTA online is a pretty bad representation of how players feel about that btw, I mean theres literally only 276 user ratings out of the god knows how many players that played/play it.

Hate to break it to you, but the industry has literally always tried to copy every successful game that has ever released. Pretty much guaranteed that many games you enjoy only exist because they copied a more successful game that came before it.

I have little interest in the game. I think it is going to be heavily focused on the multiplayer aspect. I loved GTA 5 but I wanted to do more heists and stuff. But once base game was over, it was done. So I suspect a similar thing this time. I will wait a couple of years and get it on sale on Steam

Without a pc release, will it sell like crazy. Hype does exist, but gamers dont need this game. This game will make or break the industry. They spent so much money that I am curious if it make more money. For example, I had ps4 and bought red dead 2 because pc release was delayed. I dont own a console now to play gta 6 and i dont mind waiting.

Look how much gta 5 sold in 2013 on the 360/ps3 WITHOUT the PC version. Look at the ps4/xbone sales in 2014, still no PC version. PC version came in 2015. PEOPLE will flood buying xsx, and ps5 just for gta 6.

@dathip I would argue that the ps3 and Xbox 360 era were still peak at the time. Peak user based and ending out that generation where gta 6 doesn't look to be doing that. A lot of holdouts are still not buying consoles. Xbox gamers apparently dont buy games because of game pass.
