As is, he actually probably got the best scenario possible for his devil fruit. Are you sure about Sandersonia's and Marigold's DFs? Maybe Sandersonia just decides to keep her snake tongue at all times. Snakes smell with their tongues so that gives her improved perception. One Piece fandom says that the user maintains the ability to move and talk while turned into a jacket. The weaknesses are that you need a host to take control over, and even after doing so, it's not like the ability is particularly that powerful or anything. The curse is you missed out on the thousands of significantly better devil fruits. It's sorta useful in real life though. You can save a whole airplane ticket by either being worn by another person, or riding in their luggage. Assuming it's not uncomfortable, you can sleep or hide in a closet hanging on a rack. Speculatively, assuming you become as light as a jacket, under high winds you could act like a kite and fly. Also, if you get a huge wound or if you lose an arm, I don't see why you couldn't get the injury healed by going into your jacket form and having someone sow it up. So yeh, with some creativity, the devil fruit has some potential.

I give honorable mention to Sugar’s devil fruit. You forget who you turn into toys, even your own soldiers, can’t age physically so you’re stuck looking like a kid, and don’t have a solid defense or transformation to protect from blunt attacks if someone bigger than you hits you with a club. If I were her and ate that devil fruit, I’d have retired to eating grapes out of the picture myself. Doflamingo made good use of it, but on my own I don’t think it’s worth it.

I wholeheartedly believe that Wapol's Munch-Munch Fruit is probably one of the strongest devil fruits in the series. Yes, you will always be hungry, but in a fight, adrenaline blocks feeling of hunger so it doesn't really matter if you are occupied. Another reason is the rule for the fruit: you eat something, you have 24hrs to use it, or it dissappears. My headcanon is that the awakening make eaten items less of a token system and more of a catalogue, which could be used to make way better machines than the clank fruit. As well as the existence of Wapometal, who knows how far this fruit could actually go, invention wise.

Calling this Gasha Gasha no Mi a cursed fruit because the user needs to read books beforehand to make use of it is a really strange take considering the one piece community always seems to agree that the Ope Ope no Mi is one of the most overpowered fruits in the verse. The operation devil fruit requires you to have extensive medical knowledge to use, I think it's quite feasible to think someone in one piece who isnt a movie villain could make use of the engineering fruit. The Straw-hats literally have a self engineered devilfruitless cyborg in their crew, if only there was a fruit power suited for him. Edit: I forgot to answer your video question; without refreshing myself on all the devilfruits I'd have to say Magelleon's (sp?) devil fruit had one of the worst drawbacks. Spending most of your day, every day, on the toilet would be awful.

With Magellan's devil fruit, you don't actually have to stay in the babathroom at all. In regards to Jozu's fruit I'd like to point out that a material's hardness doesn't correlate to its strength when being assaulted with sheering or tensile forces. Yes he can deflect a lot of stuff by turning into diamond, but a solid enough hit on his arm will induce enough sheering force his arm'll just pop off.

Kaku is pure comedy if you think of that. We only see him fight strawhats in the show, but hes still CP agent, and probably did a lot of work in past years. Just imagine how cruel band of serios pirates are absolutely decimated by a freaking teleporting giraffe. Always puts a smile on my face.

Douglas Bullet's fruit would probably be best used by someone like Blackbeard. He knows the secret to having multiple DFs and with the additional nomi nomi no mi (which Blackbeard would also know how to steal, if it would part of his schemes) he could learn and memorize even more crazy applications of Douglas' fruit than what we've seen in the movie.

The diamond fruit is interesting. Because as shown on marine fort: It really gives INCREDIBLE defense. But yeah I agree that it is above average in difficulty to properly utilize. But as shown it just has a high skill ceiling. But training it is also pretty straightforward. Just harden parts and experiment. So yeah, high skll ceiling, because you are gonna do a lot of that before it becomes really useful. Well outside of of the easiest use of hardening your fist. Or stationary blocking. So I would actually say the gomu gomu is more complicated. Because it is harder to get better of then before eating it. Well, outside of the suffocation risk.

jozu fruit would be good if you could for example just turmn your fists diamond or maybe if there are timing restrictions for the fruit cause if there really is not a timing thing for the fruit then just turn the part of your body that is about to get hit into diamond similar to the way AOT titan hardening works

daimond Jozu could just harden smaller portions of his body. Imagine his spin on cp9's finger pistol or if he hardened halfway down his for arm to the tip of his fist so he can still swing the arm around and make use of his shoulder and elbow. Or if he wanted to stick to the juggernaut gimmick he could have hardened his body in sections while avoiding joints and other dynamic parts of the body. He's just a smooth brain who can't effectively use his fruit

Kira Kira no Mi would be perfect for a person who is a master of a fighting art but controlling it would be the problem. You'd want to master the fruit to the point that you can activate it at will only at the moment of impact. I imagine it would be nice for boxers, taekwondo practitioners, Muay Thai practitioners, etc.

@grandlinereview if I remember correctly, Buggy’s fruit also requires his feet to remain on the ground for his pieces to float.

I've always wondered what would happen if Buggy, like... separated a part of his leg right? And then used that floating part of his leg as a platform for his feet. So his feet are 'grounded' in that they're touching a solid surface and not floating on their own power, but are using other parts of his body as a platform. Cuz' if someone else is holding Buggy's feet for him the dude can basically just fly and do whatever (I think we saw that mostly in Impel Down) so it stands to reason that Buggy could also hold his feet somehow and then fly.

In the Impel Down example, while Buggy was flying with Luffy, his feet were running beneath them because they MUST be on the ground. However, Buggy can launch his feet. I think this was explained in Orange Town?

For me, my favorite "cursed" fruit is Magellan's doku doku no mi (poison poison fruit). It's so powerful against living being. The devil poison, which might be his awakening, can even affect and destroy non organic object with one touch. But the drawback is he will get diarrhea after using this ability, since apparently, his stomach also affected by the poison. It's so severe that the main reason of why Impel Down was breached is because Magellan locked himself in the toilet for half a day after he used many type of poisons on Luffy. Addition, it seems eating this fruit make Magellan loves the taste of poison. So he likes to eat things like poisonous soup which also gives him stomach problems...
