I was schooled by the best hustlers back in the day! This was actually in Washington Square Park where the late great Vinnie Livermore used to beat my ass at that same table! (This is a bonus clip from The Tim Ferriss Experiment TV show. Watch the full series here: fourhourworkweek.com/tv/)

@@Mt-BNN in chess rules, You have to hit the clock with the same hand that you move your piece with. So it’s a slight advantage to have the clock on the side of your dominant hand. I don't like the fact that he tried that on a stranger, but you're clearly overreacting. You can't say that man is a "scammer/loser/morally deficient" person because of this incident. I watch this video every so often and I just replayed the ending from 4:12 on and its so wholesome. The hustler is extremely impressed and shocked, motioning to his buddys like ''who the hell is this guy, he just beat me with ease and talked the talk at the same time'' And then he finds out Maurice is a GM and almost seems elated to have played a game (you can see it in his smile) At the same time maurice is humble but with a devious smile (expecially the chuckle when the bystander reveals his status/rating as a grandmaster)

I love seeing the hustler desperately trying to distract the GM from the game by saying all kinds of stuff. Like, really :"Remember what I say!", Maurice asks him :"What?, that dude is like:" What I said was: Aaaaaaa." Brilliant! :)

I'm no expert, but I think this man should be very proud of getting to a semblance of an endgame vs a grandmaster

Maurice is so cool. Could have a career in film easily. So polite and articulate.

This is something I would love to master but never will. it's amazing, the thought processes used. it's also very special seeing so many skilled and talented players.....who just play.
