For your other channel you should do a "How to make spice mixes (taco seasoning, ranch seasoning, steak rubs, pickling spices, onion soup mix, etc.) These are so costly at the grocery store and they take basic spices that people probably have in their kitchen already. The store versions also usually have additives or sugar/salt that you might not want, so if you make your own you know what's going into it, and they're SO much better than the grocery store when you use fresh dried garden herbs!

I think one of the best cooking references people can have is stir fry! It’s such a customizable meal that you can use any meat and almost any vegetables for. So for one of your quick reference videos showing folks the basic method and ingredients for a stir fry would be a good one! Not always super practical for a large family meal, but I make them all the time for my own lunch while the kids are at school. I use up so many small bits of meat and vegetables that way when it’s not enough for a big meal or side dish.

Those berries on Pappas property are likely brambles. They are in the wild BlackBerry family. Dewberries would be also but brambles grow low to the ground where dewberries grow upright. Pick them when they are dark purple. They are sweetest then and make excellent jelly. Ideas for the Farmer's Table-super simple stuff that some people just didn't know how to do from scratch. Rice, mashed potatoes, home fries, omelettes, meat loaf, Mac n cheese, biscuits, pie crust, cream of whatever. Simple things that aren't hard to make, take minimal ingredients and can be used in multiple applications. Give ideas and suggestions. If you can make a pie crust, what can you do with it? Quiche, meat pies, shepherds pie, regular pie, chicken pot pie. Many blessings to you as always. 💞

Do a breakfast series for how to cook eggs in every style. Like 45 seconds doing the basic scrambled eggs, fried eggs, poached egg, egg in a hole, omlettes. For people that are new to cooking and need a simple guild to the basics. It might seem boring or too basic, but it’s a skill I was fortunate enough to learn very young from my grandma. No everyone has that opportunity and learning a new skill like that can jumpstart a love of cooking for yourself.

Been honing 'granny' skills since I was knee high to a grasshopper on a small piece of ag land in the metropolis of Southern California. The past few years I am adapting to a higher elevation, shorter, frost possible 365, grow season. Living here, I have added mushroom foraging, overnight temps are not quite right for morel foraging yet. On my daughters last visit we found many more edible mushrooms. Also elderberries, gooseberries, wild blackberries and raspberries, old apple and pear trees from long ago abandoned homesites where only the trees remain. Cottonwood buds, dandelions, venison, fish and more. All of these are transformed into food to use while leaving plenty behind to thrive. I continue to learn. Long time baker but recently decided to tackle my fear of sourdough and have been learning to use fresh milled flour (FMF). The portion about your mushrooms has me considering a shaded corner of our property to put oak wood from the Sacramento valley there to inoculate and grow some 'shrooms.
