There have been quite a few of those NH grape shakers showing up around here since they came on the market. NH and OXBO pretty much have the market around here with some Korvan machines scattered around. Wouldn’t be the first time a blue machine was associated with grape harvesting. The first commercially successful harvesters in the US were made my a company called Chisholm Ryder. They used Ford 3000 and 4000 select o speed tractors as power units then later in the 70’s you could order them with an IH 574 Hydro to get more ground speed control. There’s still quite a few of those units floating around here to.

Playing "Catch Up" Kurt. My first holiday job at 13 was on a Fruit Farm. We bought in 4 Double Decker bus loads of pickers for Blackcurrants every day for making Ribena. Two years later none. All because the local farmers got together and had a harvester built. Same happened with Hops - went from labour intensive to mobile harvesters. In fact there are machines available for nearly all fruit harvesting, even Strawberries - it's just about investing. Hope you kept George on a leash at tasting. Ironic that the same fields that used to be for blackcurrants are now vineyards.

USA - - Surely the smaller winerys Co op, lease or rent their harvesting machines ? Stil it is a work of genius. I assume that the cluster viney part has to be hand cut to be removed.

Happy new Year Lord Muck & co. as others have said what a great bit of kit suitable for some English vineyards but not all as some are on the sides of hills and sure the angle would be too steep unless telescopic legs? or some self levelling kit built in. Good luck to you all in 24!
