I look this up every couple of years since it's on my ipod and it blows my mind every time. It still pisses me off that Jerry's body gave up at 53 because I'm almost that age now and I don't look like santa claus.... oh well, it was a great ride, 50 shows for me from 79 to 89. I honestly think they were at their technical and emotional peak at this exact show. If Brent had survived the band and Jerry would have lasted much longer. c'est la vie
@newmania42429 жыл бұрын
dtshangers Exactly right about Brent. Watch the video.. Jerry and Brent were so tight..trading 1/2 licks.. it's right there. I have mourned the loss of a 'band mate' but I'm a rank amateur. Jerry was so hurt by losing half of his musical energy/self he just couldn't get it back in time... damn...
@deanmartin66829 жыл бұрын
+dtshangers i agree...and the 1989 summer tour was a peak as well...giants stadium...jack straw was musical nirvana for the band...u could see their expressions ...i miss jerry and brent too...brent definitely had a strong connection with jerry...i love when brent plays a keyboard line say on shakedown street and jerry immediately turns back and gives brent one of jerrys patented huge smiles that could light up the world...funny but i believe pink floyd heard shakedown street and created the song the wall...it is so similiar...and shakedown was recorded and released a full 12 months before the release of the wall

that's bs jerry died from doing hard drugs to long and not watching his weight .im saddened by it too I think they were tight but jerry said that brent was a member for 11yrs and always felt like the new guy I'm sure jerry was bummed but they weren't that tight they didn't hang out together jerry and keith were like that also then jerry and vince
