This channel singlehandedly made me decide that the MX-5 will be my first car. Not that cheap for a first car, but I'll save money till I can buy one second hand!

Thanks! I'm so glad you like the episode and all the different elements. I wasn't sure how it would be received as it has a fair bit of non-car based content in this episode, so I really appreciate your feedback. Thank-you for your kind comment.

It's funny how you both wanted to change gear after crossing the finish line but soon realized that there is no need:D

i was telling my dad about the gravity racing today. what a brilliant idea, and the perfect way to prove the point. I really enjoyed both the mx5 and vx220 travel series. I am a tour guude by profession, and love the history you mix in with the car content. Top stuff :)

Graham Borrajo btw, you know breaking in neutral above 10mph is not good for your breaks right?
@AveragetoPoor4 жыл бұрын
Personally I've always believed that to be a bit of myth, or at least not so cut and dried. Whilst without engine braking the pads and rotors will be heating up and wearing more as a result of them being the sole component controlling the car's speed, the downhill run was relatively short so the rotors never got so hot we experienced any brake fading let alone any warping damage to the discs etc. Plus as it was such a miserable rainy Irish morning on that day, I expect that helped keep things cool too.

Just awesome man. This video is amazing, I love the way you show us your trip, the places, the little games, the history etc. You defensibly deserve more views! And seeing two bro doing a road trip in a NA Miata remember me some good memories haha.

By the looks of that, the radiator is about on it's last legs. Have you gotten around to replacing it yet?
@AveragetoPoor4 жыл бұрын
That's a sharp pair of eyes you have there, Evan! Indeed the radiator has got the classic brown plastic top signifying it's seen some years, however it's still in perfect working order so I haven't replaced it thus far.
