Another one you miss, number 9 Daniella, on the board it says "00' Caddy Eldo STS" which basically just said it is two cars as Eldo is short for Eldorado, and STS was a trim for the Seville, so there is actually 52 listed

theres more messed up w that list than the shelby my friend. the daytona was only made in 1969 not 69 and 70. the 70 roadrunner super bee lol is a pic of a 1970 superbird. the roadrunner and super bee are 2 totally different cars as well. pretty funny, the superbird is made from a 70 roadrunner. the 69 daytona is made from a 69 charger. in case anyone was curious and wanted to know lol. i love mopars and of course eleanor. all the mistakes though doesnt change its an iconic movie for sure. i think the maranello mispelling is kind of a poke at italians. what do italians like most marinara sauce and noodles lol. how did they mispell it lol exactly.

This was a great watch, I love car history, and sometimes I feel like the Japanese carmakers get skipped over when it comes to stories like this. I'm left wanting a Miata now, though unemployed, once my monetization comes in, I will be in the market for a used car, so perhaps this is my chance.

One of the best (if not the best) S2000 overview I’ve watched. Surprised by the low view count but I imagine it’ll exponentially increase with time as low mileage stock examples are becoming harder to find. Thanks for the great vid. And yes, I ran off to confirm my car was made at Tochigi plant 😊

Dominic Sena deserves so much credit for directing this masterpiece. The way he framed shots with the lighting and the way he made Eleanor to be a mytical creature really allowed you to feel what Memphis was feeling. The soundtrack really fit the movie well and it had a great balance of wholesome action and emotionally significant moments without having needless sex or filler. The movie was really ahead of its time and I never tire of it.

Brilliant video. And about a brilliant car. My NA is fucked now, so much rust in the body and cooling system, and I'm getting misfires and all sorts. MOT at the end of September and it will be farewell. I've had it 7 years, daily driven (and money spent), and it's been ace, but I've only driven it as it should be driven for the first 3 of those. Core plugs going on a motorway tempers one's trust in an engine somewhat.

Many, many, many thanks for making such a special video. I felt in love with this car while spending a year as an exchange student in the US in 1990 and bought one new in Spain in 1995, which I still own. In fact I still keep all the window stickers that came in the new car (I saw the car being unloaded by the truck when it arrived at the dealer and asked to to keep everything for me), and has been able to translate it finally with the now available translation apps in our smart phones... As said, one of the best videos I have seen about this car as the ones you finally made about the Special Editions which brought me to this. I only found one mistake in the video, at least I think is a mistake. NA's were not painted dual layers (paint+lacquer) they were all painted single stage with no clear coat (don't know about the Sunburst Yellow though.
@me61ic3 ай бұрын
I mean solid colors were painted single stage, not mica/metallic colors. In fact I heard Bob Hall (I think) once said that was to short building time in the first production colors, as was the fact that the door handles were supposed to be painted as the car color instead of chromed, but they were decided to be chromed so that there were no need to have 3 different sets in the production line.

Here is a detail that drives me nuts…An original Gt500 has a 140 speedo AND an 8000 rpm tach. Why and extra tach?’ Stock mustangs have 120 mph speedo and 6k tach. They show the speedo pin at 120 in the chase to 160 mph. Giving away that its not a Shelby.

Missed a big one. In the 1970’s TV series “The Rockford Files”, Jim Rockford, played by James Garner, drove a Pontiac Firebird Esprit. During a stake out the car thieves in Gone in 60 Seconds break up the boredom by asking car trivia questions on their radios: They refer to the car from the Rockford files as 1973 Firebird Esprit, but for that show Jim Rockford never drove a 1973. The earliest model Firebird Esprit ever shown in that series was a 1974. :-)

I just re-watched the movie again.... and noticed an error also, that is, I'm pretty sure wrong in your video as well. No 39. 69 Plymouth Road Runner Super Bee.... well, in the movie there is a blue Plymouth Superbird, and while that was originally built on a roadrunner, that is a different car. Also, While the 69 RoadRunner looked very Similar to the Super Bee, the Super Bee was based on the Coronet... So that car and its name on the board and everything is just a huge mess. :)

If i can remember aren't the cars being shipped to the middle east? Because if so the client obviously didn't realise that he could have picked up a Toyota Land Cruiser easily there as they are pretty much sold in large numbers.
