Game of Thrones Season 7 is shaping up to be a wild ride and I Cant wait!!! I have brought you some Juice to get you thru the long night!!!
We know the White walkers came back but we don't know why, We don't know what they want or do we! In Bran's Weirwood vision we get a glimpse of what happened between the last time they were seen, to the first time they were seen again. We know The Night King had a weird exchange with Jon Snow. I think A Song of Ice and Fire could be about White Walkers not wanting Dragons anywhere near them, and that includes Valyrian dragonlords from the Lands of Long Summer, Targaryens. One thing I have not heard mentioned. We do not know exactly what woke the White Walkers nor when they first started to stir. We don't even know how long it takes for one of Craster's sons to mature into a full grown white walker. The only reason I doubt the Targaryen connection is because the Targaryen's came to Westeros about 300 years ago. Granted, Jon Snow is the first Targaryen to be raised in the Holy City of Winterfel. So that may be the connection. The White Walkers are also known as the Others. They are connected to the deity known as the Great Other. In the TV series, they are also connected to the Children of the Forest and the Old Gods. If the Great Other is one of the Old Gods, i.e. equivalen to Zeus or Oden in the pagan religion, then the fact is that the Starks of Winterfel have been worshiping the Great Other for 8,000 years. That said, aside from raising a Targaryen in the Holy City of Winterfel, what other heretical action occurred at about the same time? Catelyn Tully married Eddard Stark, and to honor his wife, a Sept of the Seven was built inside of the Holy City of Winterfel. This blasphemy may have broken some ancient arrangement that they Starks would always worship the Old Gods and that Winterfel would always be kept Holy.

In your latest video, you compared the Ghost of High Heart to an unglamored Melisandre. Since we do not have a definitive origin story for the Ghost of High Heart, other than she was referred to as a Woods Witch or somehow related to the Children of the Forrest... but that is more legend or speculation than anything else. If, however, she was once a priestess of R'hllor, then the tragedy at Summerhall would make a lot of sense. They were trying to wake dragons. There is power in royal blood (in particular there is power in Targaryen blood). The tragedy at Summerhall may have been a large sacrifice of Targaryens in order to wake dragons from Stone. Instead of waking dragons, it woke White Walkers. The priestess lost her faith, the same as Melisandre did in the show. The only real problem with that is her overall appearance. She is small like a child... It could be that she is very ancient, and has shrunk with age... I dunno... what do you think?

While the vision interpretation is as valid as any other....the problem i have with the targaryn connection is the fact that there was a long night already.....about 8000 years ago....before dragons where a big deal, before the valyrians were little more than shepherds, before the targaryns even existed. This was also a long night that affected Essos. And quite possibly the demons that marched south in Essos during the Long Night were not even Walkers.... There seems like there has to be something else behind all these bit players (the walkers, the targaryns, the dragons), and it is tied to the ancient kingdoms of Essos.

It is a nice theory. My problem with it, however, is that the walkers weren't threatened by anything, because people to this day don't believe they exist. Nobody wants to go to the land of always winter anyway, because it is cold and they don't think they will find anything interesting there. If I am not wrong, the Targs have been ruling the seven kingdoms for 300 years and no white walker came knocking at that time. Also if they are concered about their well being, they would gather an army and be prepared for an attack on their territory, which no one would want to approach anyway, they wouldn't march south aiming to kill and then reasurect everyone. I guess what I'm trying to say is that no one from the seven kingdoms wants to go beyond the wall, it is considered a wildlings territory and no one cares about the wildlings. And how is their existence at risk when nobody actually knows and believes that they exist on a first place? It is like going to Ireland to attack the leprecauns! No one would think of that because no one believes they actually exist. So when we see a leprecaun army approaching Europe it won't be because they feel threatened, but because of something else 😂

i have just subscribed her after this incredible theory demonstrations, I have a group here in my country and just like me they are so many crazy for this show. The way it goes and how unpredictable were the past seasons, after Rob stark death everyone from the group was upset with the production for making it look like bounce. Wow, you've really educated me!!!!! Such a fantastic explanation of what was really a short (no more than two pages?) in the book... no fanfare not really very dramatic except for Bran's thoughts of dread begging them not to kill this man who was a being butchered like a sacrifice then Bran falls asleep both haunted and sickened by the smell and taste of the man's blood in his nose and mouth. I'd forgotten all about this I read that passage over a year and a half almost 2 years ago. HOWEVER as you re-read the words it all came flooding back to me and I cannot believe I missed so much ALL OF IT SO RICH IN SIGNIFICANCE! (i'm not yelling just really excited!) Also, as in most of Bran's Chapters when we're "inside his head" he thinks of Old Nan and the stories she told him throughout his entire childhood. Of course, since this passage from the book is from Bran's point of view, of course Nan's name comes up several times which brings me to my next question: I've often wondered why Old Nan knows SO MUCH, throughout the Stark children's childhoods, she tells them stories nightly, which many of the kids think she just seems to make them up "out of thin air" and their parents reinforce this belief... oh it's just Old Nan telling her Tales. However, this woman knows SO MUCH. Truly, she is privy to knowledge that the kings and queens of their World are not even (fully)aware of... she has always fascinated me.... what are your thoughts concerning who Nan really might be? Not a bad theory, but Danerys is the prince who was promised. Not John. She was born among salt and stone and storm. She sacrificed a king and with blood magic awoke the dragons from stone. John is her nephew and may ride one of the dragons. Who is targaryen #3 is still up for grabs. The walkers were never gone, just sleeping. According to the tv series the walkers are just humans turned by the children of the forest to eradicate men from the land. Dragons or no, they will come cross the wall and cover all the world in ice.

As far as it is known, there was never a threat for a summer that never ends and no of the current characters in the story has such abilities, which could cause such an event to occur. Furthermore, the first known time that the walkers attacked were no dragons around in Westeros. Even further nobody has ever had the ambitions to go to the land of always winter to destroy the walkers, so there is no actual threat to them since ever.

I think it is simples; they just want to get warm. I mean 8000 years of being cold......really it seems that it has to do with magic, as the dragons are born and grow the power of magic and the Ice King grows. Jon fights the Ice King but Sam Tarley is the one who slays him.

Good thoughts. My only problem with it is Mance Rayder spent 20 fookin years (longer than Jon's been alive) uniting the wildlings by telling them if they don't get south of the wall they will die. He had to have a reason to think that was the case and they had to have a reason to think he was right.

This theory falls flat on the fact that Dragons have existed long before Aegon's conquest. And I don't buy that they only felt threatened once the Valyrians came to Westeros either. That relies on them actively seeking out the WW beyond the wall, which never happened. If this theory is true, the Night King is literally walking to his fate by marching on the wall. I don't think he's about survival. Everything they have done has been with purpose. They want something.

I really enjoyed the in depth analysis of the Bran passage which totally passed through me without a single notice to its significance lol. But I find GameofTheories' take on this question more appealing. He suggests that since the first wight - Night King was a human he had dreams and pations in his life, he was a creature with a purpose. And the children of the forest experimented on him and took all that makes him a human from him. He suggests that the ultimate goal of the wights is to reach the Isle of Faces and avenge the children of the forest by wiping them out or if they are all gone already destroying that place and their power maybe? The point made sence that they once were humans with souls and dreams and became iced corpses walking westeros with no purpose but to destroy. Sends chills down my spine.

I think, they want Jon. I think, Jon's birth could awoke them. I think, the Children wanted to make a living weapon, a warrior for Life, when they made the Walkers. But the magic was screwed. Why? Look at the equasion: First men + dragonglass shard in the heart = combining First men blood with fire magic. But they made two mistakes: 1. The way, how they created it: with intrusion, with killing the man, with aggression. Death causes death... it became a warrior for Death and not for Life. 2. No balance: the First men blood, the magical ICE part was way stronger than the fire magic of a dragonglass dagger. The ICE dominated in the result. So the NK = magical Ice and Death, because they screwed the magic. Jon on the other hand as the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark: 1. Was created, conceived and born in love and sense of duty to save mankind. No killing, no aggressive intrusion, but a natural love. No death in result. He is the Warrior of Life. 2. There is balance inside him: Rhaegar as the pure-blooded Targaryen prince could hold the peak of the fire magic in his veins, and so was Lyanna Stark, the purest First men blood, her generation the peak of the Stark bloodline. Balance between Ice and Fire So I think, Jon is the Warrior of Life, whom the Children wanted to create in the first place, but they screwed that, that's why the Walkers were created. Something will happen to Jon in S8 before the last battle for the Dawn, I think. Something, what will trigger his blood magic and then he will become an undead king, probably not able to die any more (maybe the NK would be able to kill him, but after he defeats the NK, noone can). And then he will rule as an eternal king as kind of a Jesus Christ. And won't care about scheming and plotting and intrigues for power, he will sit on the IT, because noone will be able to kill him, to remove him from power, no matter how tries it. LFs and Varyses can screw themselves.

IMO the look the night king gave Jon at hardhome was one of amusement. I theorize the night king realizes there's something special about Jon, he sees Jon as a worthy adversary. We know now how the walkers were created, he was a human being, who had family, a life , a love, all of that was taken from him, forced to live in eternity, no longer human, but a cold dead creature. I think he wants to meet his end, that bitter sweet ending GRRM mentioned in an interview may be that Jon will sacrifice himself to save the kingdom, make a pact to become the new Night King.

Great video! And when we first meet Bran he is shooting an arrow which might be some foreshadowing. I think they might actually want Dany as their Queen. Or they might want someone as a Queen. I don't think they will stop until some sort of pact is reached between all the regions of Westeros. But who knows. So excited for the next book and season!

it's nice to hear a woman talk about the Game of Thrones for a change! Every video I watch is voiced by a guy or at least the one's I've seen anyway so it's a welcomed change. I was starting to think not many of us enjoyed watching the Game of Thrones. I differently could see the night king stopping after eliminating John Snow & Dany what a hell of a twist not to mention one hell of a fight. I really don't want to see John die I love his character not to mention the actor is just hot AF lol. I kinda could see the night king not stopping after eliminating them but wanting something more or maybe wanting to rule over everyone. Maybe even going after the children for what they've done to him I think you mentioned that. I CAN'T WAIT until the new season starts. I didn't watch the show from the beginning idk why but I just didn't. When I started watching it season 3 or 4 was on DVD so I brought the 1st from eBay & after watching it I was hooked. After watching it I went out to Walmart for season 2 at like 12am because I couldn't wait to be mailed to me lol.

But there were Targaryens and dragons as far as 300 years ago in Westeros and for a longer time if we count Dragonstone. And the Others didn't just start to march when Jon arrived in Winterfell. I don't know. Remember most of Bran's visions that particular time were tied to Winterfell and as far as we know the night's King and Queen never made it that far South (from the Wall) and the tales just meniton him ruling from The Wall and Starks and Wildings freeing the night's watch. They never tell of an undead army marching South at that particular time. The guy making arrows was definitely Jon Snow though. The tall guy was probably Sir Duncan. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. This is still the best atempt at figuring out the Others I've ever heard.

I'm going to go with another baseball analogy: 1.) "Home Runs": You're hitting so many of your ideas and theories out of the park with how amazing they are, how you use so much evidence to back them up, and how I've stated before about how you use a very "clear to follow roadmap" applying you logic regarding the evidence to your very plausible (and I think, highly possible/probable) ideas and theories. You're definitely "taking the big swings" at challenging "pitches" and knocking them not just beyond the fence, but into the upper deck. A lot of channels either "play it safe" and "take a walk if they can get one" or "take the big swing" and either miss or knock it deep enough to be a "4 bagger", but it ends up landing just outside the foul pole. Keep knocking 'em "deep over the center field wall!" 2.) "Batting Average": A. Your quality of content; B. How germane your content is, in the fact that you put forth plausible/possible/probable assumptions to questions myself, and I assume many other fans, are thinking about regarding the plot, at the same time you release your that relevant content in your videos; C. How great it is to see how intelligent your thought process is and how original your ideas and theories are, and when added to the solid research, careful analysis, objective thought, and applied logic (Which to anyone who watches your videos is thoroughly evident), to reach your exciting hypothetical conclusions, and IMHO your channel has the highest level of quality content along with your amazing narration/video to solidly lead the "pack" in highest number of quality videos presented well. There are about 5 - 10 solid aSoIaF/GoT content channels out there, but you continually have the best quality per video! (This is especially nice when other fan channels, with the exception of your's and the handful of the other channels channels I alluded to, are guilty of either: a.) "Borrowing" or straight up plagiarize the IP of the few channels I alluded to along with yours; b.) Channels who present videos that are too short because the producer only puts forth the premise of what would likely be a great idea/theory to explore, no "meat" (or "specifically chicken" in case I run into Sandor, or which I love how you put it, the "juice"), to back their ideas/theory up; c.) The channel producer is completely "TINFOIL" to the point they must have been on hallucinogens when they devised their thoughts and made the video [not judging, just saying that their "recreational activity" is fine with me, but "It" + "Devising and Producing" = a content video more like the "Twilight Zone" in it's absurdity rather than a true fan channel video]; d.) The channel producer has very little knowledge, but the best of intentions, however it's clear they are new to the aSoIaF "universe" have probably only just binge watched all 6 GoT seasons and are excited, which is great, and now want to share that excitement to the masses so they probably watched some content channels, have looked at a few of the GoT Wiki pages/Wiki of IaF/Wikipedia pages, have checked out WotW a few times, and "scanned" through some Reddit threads, but they just don't have the depth and rich history of what GRRM has imagined and "brought to life" so vividly to, as you so eloquently put it, have the "juice" to produce truly interesting and thought provoking content yet; e.) They are very well read and regular show watchers who are very knowledgeable on all Canon material but they produce videos that are so long, "jumbled", don't present all of their evidence and logic on some points and/or "overload" the viewer the with their evidence and logic on viewers to the point of "overkill" & boredom after the audience realizes it's been 30 minutes and they are still introducing their premise, f.) The channel would have interesting content, but the video, audio, actions of the presenter, voice of the presenter, style being weird, wacky, distracting etc... messes up the viewer's ability to perceive the content) Your channel and the handful of others I alluded to are the Major League (the "Big Time") The channels I listed in points a.) - f.), are good enough that they step up to the plate, but they are still minor league "farm clubs". Not only do you have the highest average of quality and well presented content per video above any of the other channels in the "Majors", but you have the quality and content/video average of what those in the "Minors" aspire to have! 3.) "Runs Batted In (RBI)": You seem to be solidly in first place, as the "leading voice" in determining what topic other channels will discuss by getting "there" (to that plot point and developing a plausible theory first). Additionally, like I told you, I don't have a channel, but I am constantly analyzing and tying everything together, and you have a knack in which you always are: A.) Corroborating thoughts I (And, assumingely, other community fans) have theorized on, B.) Placing a "new spin" on what I, and I assume many other fans, have theorized regarding the topic you are elaborating on; C.) You are developing altogether new and original theories regarding plot points I have thought about, and assume others feel this way too, and/or D.) You connect the dots on on the way to get to the same, or very similar, conclusion, I have reached but have done so via different characters, locations, and events. So, you are definitely, "Batting in those Runs" by guiding so many others "home" on aSoIaF/GoT thoughts! You're definitely on pace to win the aSoIaF/GoT "Triple Crown", girl! Keep up the great work, GrayArea, I know I'll keep watching! -JT PS. You had mentioned a FB site that has a lot of aSoIaF/GoT info, topics, discussions, etc... Because of my profession, I haven't had a FB page in years (don't want to be inundated with questions when not at work and/or from people I don't know regarding professional topics), and I'm not the most "tech savvy" (More of a "Feather Quill Pen and Ink Well" guy. Is there a messenger via KZbin so I can ask you questions about how to set up a FB page with a pseudonym, so I can at least enjoy getting on that page? Thanks, and as I find myself always saying!
