I have an old mixer similar to yours, last time I used it I smelled a heated rubber like smell. Not sure if it’s the motor or belt. I did buy a Kitchen-Aid thinking that this little work horse was on its way to a display shelf. It has lasted almost 60 years! I’ll probably be making this recipe with an electric hand mixer. Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe.🤗👍🏻🙌🏻🙏

LOVE the cat dishes!! Where did you get them? Great cake recipe. ove the mixmaster too. I have a Sunbeam kitchen thanks to my Grandma. I love my T9 toaster, mixmaster, percolator and all the accoutrements! Never had to buy kitchen appliances and these are all older than my goodself! lol I like the era of things built to last, not the era of built in obsolescence...

What fun! You just can’t beat vintage Mixmasters! Mine is from 1978 and still works like a charm. It’s been a real workhorse over the years. The cake looks wonderful, nice texture and tasty. Great job Grandma and Grandpa! Nothing like fresh cake with or without icing… How are you both doing? I was wondering how you both have been in the terrible cold. The good thing is that spring is on its way. I saw Easter candy at the store yesterday 😮 I am making my cornbread and chili tomorrow and I have to tell you that my cornbread is like cake 🎂 as it’s sweet and I love it with the chili but the rest of it I like to have just plain with my coffee in the morning, I zap it in the microwave for just a few seconds and it’s delicious! I had the chance to buy a Sunbeam Mixmaster many years ago, for under fifty dollars. It was rebuilt or refurbished, maybe just a return. I declined, but no doubt would still have it to this day if I had purchased it😢. Your cake looks delicious!
