Fell face first off a skateboard and landed on my shoulder and dislocated it, had to get it put pack in place in an hospital. Ever since I've been scared to do exercises that reach behind my back or over the shoulders. I learned a lot and you really helped me find the exercises that I can do without having to worry about an injury and they actually feel like a real exercises. Thank you so much.

Very helpful. I've had my right shoulder pop out 3 times in my life after age 30. I've back off from upper body training to allow for recovery but I feel it's time to get back at it after taking nearly 3 months off.

I agree @TheRTJ80. I think it is time to get back slowly into working out. Add these exercises to your workout. Also check out my other video on what position to avoid for shoulder dislocation. Observe that precaution as you start strengthening your shoulder. I wish you the best.🙏

Thx for the video, after how long after my 1st shoulder dislocation, i can start these exercises?
@restoreplusptАй бұрын
Good question @keshavx. Once the pain has subsided and your doctor clears you to do exercises, I recommend starting already. That can range from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the severity of the injury.

great video, thank you. do you have any videos or recommendations for dislocating shoulder and have a labrum tear, no surgery needed, i have full ROM but horrible external rotation, so I can't squat because can't hold the bar since arm needs to externally rotate to hold the bar. it's been a month and ortho said no follow up and didn't even write me a script for PT. making good progress but need a lot of work on external rotation and a bit unsure what exercises to do for recovery, thank you!
@restorepluspt3 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @Dodger-87. If your doctor said your shoulder is fully healed and has no precautions, I suggest doing external rotation stretches on your shoulder to regain external rotation. If you were on a sling or your shoulder was immobilized for a period of time to help the shoulder heal, it will be in an internal rotation position. This will make you lose external rotation. Without doing that movement it will be difficult to get it back. Check out my channel for some videos I created shoulder shoulder external rotation movements such as using a wand or using the wall/door frame. Do it multiple times a day and see if those help. I wish you the best. 🙏

Sir my English is weak i have 1st time shoulder 4month ago i doining exercises can i join army, capf, forces please reply ?
@restoreplusptАй бұрын
Hi @AasifCreations. If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if you can join the army after a shoulder dislocation? The short answer is yes you can if your shoulder is stable/strong enough that it does not dislocate anymore with the activities you need to do for the army. Good luck.🙏

Hey so it’s been over a year since I dislocated my shoulder and my shoulder feels really unstable. I did these exercises for one day and my shoulder has been hurting. Is that normal?
@restorepluspt10 ай бұрын
Good question @moonkhan161. If you have not done it before and just did it for a day, you may feel increase in soreness and pain. What I recommend is that if it is a lot of pain, stop. For mild to moderate pain, proceed but monitor it carefully. If it gets worse, stop and check with a specialist. I wish you the best.🙏

Do you think if i had a perthes lesion from a anterior dislocation i will be back with physiotherapy and strengthening without surgery

It is difficult to say @user-gq3xv1vv6k. The ones I see requires surgery. I wish you the best.

can i do these exercises after6,7 time dislocations? and can i recover from these exercises
@restorepluspt2 ай бұрын
Good question @r.s.kfitness7466. The more the number of dislocations, the looser the shoulder is and more difficult to recover. It also depends on the demand of the activity you do. In my experience, when patients have that many dislocations, they end up having surgery.

Sir, I am from Bangladesh, my two hand solder ran out 3 times, now it is normal, but now it is about dislocation shoulder, tell me how can I bring back the strength like before, I will be forever grateful to you, thank you sir.
@restorepluspt2 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @photofansdigitalstudio5263. I suggest doing the exercises I showed in the video and continue to focus on your pectoral muscles and rotator cuff muscles to get your shoulder more stable. I wish you the best.

I dislocated my right shoulder more than 5 times. Last time 4 days ago. So, when should i start exercise after dislocating? Thank you
@restoreplusptАй бұрын
Good question @erdenebulgabaterdene6220. You can start exercising as soon as the pain starts going down. Start with mild isometric exercises first then progress gradually as your shoulder gets stronger. I hope this helps.🙏

Just dislocated my shoulder while sparring I threw a bad left hook and yea.. I hope this doesn’t happen more because I wanna go pro,but I heard if u pop it once it’s easier to keep happening so now I’m scared of throwing hooks
@restoreplusptАй бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @jeremiah4548. You are correct that there is evidence that once you dislocate the shoulder, it is easier to dislocate it again. But that is not absolute. If you strengthen the shoulder enough, you can prevent that. Doing these exercises can be helpful. You will need to progress the intensity because of the nature of your sport. I suggest avoiding throwing hooks until your shoulder is stronger to prevent further dislocations. I wish you the best!🙏

if i partially dislocated my shoulder 5 times will these exercises help to prevent future partial dislocations and stop them from happening or do i need to do more?
@restorepluspt7 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @adouma2345. These exercises can help in preventing future dislocations. In your situation, it may or may not be possible depending on how loose your shoulder already is. If it is too loose, you may require surgery. But certainly give this a try first. You have nothing to lose with trying the conservative approach first. I wish you the best. 🙏

Thank you for this,I wanted to start until I saw your comment. I really wish to have a good body,but I don't think it's possible without weight lifting. I've dislocated my shoulder 8 times in the last 10 years,now I don't know the exercise to do to keep in shape without popping out my shoulder

I've dislocated my right shoulder 4 times in nearly 2 years. Is this guaranteed to keep it in place?
@restorepluspt5 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that @stevenstatham2864. I medicine, there is no guarantees. Regarding your situation, since you dislocated it several times already, there is a high possibility that your shoulder is lose and there are damaged structures. This exercise may help but most likely it will not be enough. Surgery may be needed. I suggest consult a specialist for further eval and management. I wish you the best. 🙏

Hi i wanted to ask after dislocated my shoulder for the 1st time Does this activity movement have a risk to make my shoulder dislocate again 1.brooming/sweeping/mopping 2. Painting wall using long stick 3. Wiping mirror in circular direction 4. Scrapping object on titles/ sudden jerk force)
@jtchett3604 Жыл бұрын
Probably yes until it heals Mine has dislocated 3 times After it heals, it won't come out easily, but overhead movements are dangerous. The second time i dislocated was from throwing a ball to hard Muscles dont really help in that case You might just have to be cautious with it forever It sucks, I'm young in my 20s, but my shoulder easily dislocates in fights...

@@jtchett3604 hi can u give me expected time based on yours to properly heal.. now im 1 week on sling.. waiting on next xray after 2 weeks.. im 24yo dislocated tue to fall
@restorepluspt Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to that you are going through this @DanialADHOfficial. With the activities that you mentioned above, if the movement is in front of you, the is a very small chance that it will dislocate again. The way I am imagining the activities, they all are in front but I am not 100% sure as you may be doing them differently from how I am imagining it. I shared a video on the position to avoid when you have a dislocated shoulder. I suggest watching that so you know what activities that you are doing/will do that involves that position and avoid them. Hope this helps.🙏
@restorepluspt Жыл бұрын
Good question @DanialADHOfficial. It usually takes around 3 months to recover from a dislocated shoulder. This is with proper range of motion exercises and strengthening as soon as the Orthopedist allows it. Without strengthening keys muscles, the shoulder will be prone to dislocate again. I wish you the best in your recovery. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have further questions.

Maybe the pec is too strong pulling the shoulder in front
@restorepluspt Жыл бұрын
There is no harm if your pectoral muscle is very strong. It will not dislocate your shoulder by pulling to the front.

Double jointed kids. Don't try to impress your friends by showing them you can pop your shoulder out of place. In hindsight it was stupid. But here I am searching the web worried I might need surgery. It's not worth it IM 19, and this is my issue
@restorepluspt11 ай бұрын
I'm sorry to hear this @fuckedonamonday. Focus on strengthening your rotator cuff and pectoral muscles. It is not a guarantee but that will give you the best chance of preventing future dislocations.🙏 Wish you the best.
