I don't understand why would you say "Ο Ιούλιος" instead of just "Ιούλιος" at 3:07 ? Doesn't "Ο Ιούλιος" mean "THE july"? Also is there a rule for the genitive case? just replace the ending of the nominative with "-ίου" ? This was the reason I looked for this, I'm encountering the genitive very often when I write the date

Yes it means the July. In greek in front of the names we put an article. For example: ο Νίκος είναι σπίτι : the Nikos is at home. Yes there is a rule about genitive and we will see it in a future lesson!

Thanks for the lessons, just a quick question, at 4:30, why is ''Το'' Σεπτέμβριο instead of ''Τον''

Τον and To is the same thing. We use τον when the next word starts with a vowel or κ, π, τ, ξ, ψ, μπ, ντ, γκ, τσ, τζ Keep in mind though that most Greeks don't apply this Grammar rule!

@@TriStarIII θα προσπαθήσω!! We put the final -ν when the next word starts with a vowel, κ, π, τ, ξ, ψ, μπ, ντ, γκ, τσ, τζ. Some grammar books though don't include the masculine article [τον] in this rule and they say that we should always use the masculine article with the final -ν! Hope that helped!

We use it also with the negative form δε(ν) και μη(ν). Most of the books don't apply the rule on the masculine τον as I did in the video 🙂

You're amazing! Your lessons are very helpful to me. In this one I just have one doubt: how do I write a date? For example, I want to say "my birthday is on May 4th", I can say like "τα γενέθλιά μου είναι στις 4 Μαiο"?

Gabrielly you would say "τα γενέθλιά μου είναι στις 4 Μαΐου". Μαΐου is genitive form and we use it in the dates.
