Excellent work on these presentations -- I think the Subjunctive is a difficult concept, and making 3-4 videos about the different types and how to build more sophisticated sentences would be useful -- this is still the best YT channel on learning the Greek Language!

What is the difference in use between short and continuos subjuntive ? I still dont uderstand that..

Short subjunctive is used for something that happens once or has a specific duration: θέλω να χορέψω (τώρα/ απόψε/ στο πάρτι) = I want to dance (now/ tonight/ at the party) πρέπει να φάω = I must eat (like now/soon... = because I'm very hungry maybe) Σε βοηθάω να (το) καταλάβεις = I'm helping you understand (that) θέλω να σε φιλήσω = I want to kiss you = I want to give you a kiss Continuous Subjunctive is used for something that has duration or for something that is generally true: Μου αρέσει να χορεύω (τάνγκο/ κάθε μέρα) = I like dancing (tango/ every day) Σε βλέπω να έρχεσαι = I see you coming πρέπει να τρώω = I must eat (like generally... for example: πρέπει να τρώω υγιεινά = I must eat healthy) Σε βοηθάω να καταλαβαίνεις (περισσότερα πράγματα) = I help you understand (more things) (like generally, every day) θέλω να σε φιλάω = I want to kiss you continuously or whenever = I like kissing you Another rule for that could be the following: we use short subjunctive for something that we know that will end sometime whereas we use continuous subjuntctive for something that we don't know when/if it will stop. I'm just a native speaker, not a professional teacher like Alexia, so these rules are not 100% complete or accurate! I hope they helped though! 🙂

I just saw these comments. I am sorry for not posting an answer earlier. The explanation above is excellent!! The only thing to add : Most of the times (not always) Continuous subjunctive is followed by a key word (πάντα, συνήθως, κάθε μέρα , τις Κυριακές etc) that shows repetition and continuity OR a verb that is structured with Continuous subjunctive (μου αρέσει να, αγαπάω να, βλέπω να etc)

Please tell me i want to appear in B2 level national Greek exam. These videos are enough or should i join any language center in order to prepare for exams which are going to be held in May and September. If you think i must join language center. Μου αρέσει να βλέπω και να ακούω και να μαθαίνω από σένα. Since staring your videos with A1, I have learned so much from you. I am so happy that you explained the differences in the subjunctive as I had learned the "short subjunctive" from you in A2 and to change the verb after "va" to the future tense. However, in some of my reading material I see that the verb did not change after "va" and I thought it was wrong. I was so confused. Now I know it depends on the mood and time and can conjugate correctly.Ευχαριστώ παρά πολύ!

8 tenses and 3 moods! They exist also in the Passive Voice. We haven't done all of them yet :)
