Greeks of Caracas, Venezuela

Note this doesn’t follow a storyline and will be re-edited later this year on software, as this was done on a beach in Brasil with an iPhone. Thank you firstly to Father Evangelos, who is an inspiration. Thanks to the older Greeks for their time and stories, the President and VP who made me feel at home and the young people be it the guys who gave me a lift or Javier Colina who took some footage at the Greek Fest for me. Thanks Alexandros for your time - nice Greek dancing too my friend and also to Alcibiades who has been leading the Greek language in Caracas. This is one of the most impressive Greek communities I’ve ever seen. A beautiful church, a Greek Taverna, a school, sports area, playground, function space, library, offices and rooms for clergy and special visitors.
If you are intending to visit Caracas, make contact with the community. As mentioned, the President and executive are welcoming people. The food at the taverna is fantastic
This “documentary” was glued together to make me remember the article I have to write and isn’t as well edited as it should be.
We in the diaspora need to connect and ensure communities such as this one continue to be a leading light for Hellenism
