They stayed at my place in 1990, or 1991. They performed here (in NL, local youthcentre) and i had to do the sound that day. Immediately saw they were talented, so offered them to sleep at my place (which i had never done before or since). They accepted and followed me in their van. We jammed a bit and had fun. Dont even remember where i had them sleep exactly. Prolly on the floow with matrasses or smth. Told them they could take whatever they wanted to eat. Next day as i got down from my bedroom they were making pancakes. And then they left. Some years later i hear them on the radio. I was like "WTF. I KNOW those guys!" Good to see they are still together and have not gone crazy, like so many 'stars'. Round 2000 they were very famous, pretty much 'worldwide'. One day my kids brought some girlfriends and somehow it got to Green Day. One of them was a huge fan. I said "Really? They slept here once and i played with them. They are nice guys. Good musicians too!" Jaws dropped. And i got to be a little bit famous, locally.

@@jimenamarbella6821 Lol. Thanx for reactions guys. I guess id have that too if id meet someone i am a huge fan off but never met. But well, circumstance made it so that i knew them when they were just guys in a band, like millions of others. To me, they are just normal people, bc i knew them then for a moment, i guess. There was something else that i didnt mention. I played guitar too and sung. And since we were jamming i did one of mine and they liked it. Said i was "in the house". I didnt know what that meant, but it had to be good. ;p But yea, as it is with those things, some ppl will like what you do and some will not. But once they got famous and i remembered this, it got a different value. Made me a bit proud. Maybe if i had persued it, i could have been a little famous too. And there was smth else aswell. Dunno if its perfectly fine to say, but i dont see the harm in it. As we were driving here i told them i had a big surprise for them. But didnt tell them yet what it was. I knew they liked a bit of 'grass' ;] I had gotten some good clones, 20 or 30. And it had been harvest time and since i was rather inexperienced in how to treat that stuff, i had cut them off down at the ground and hugh them to dry in my living room. So imagine a load of you know what sort of plants hanging and standing in my living room, all over the place. It was dry enough to smoke yet. So they were WHOAAAA when they saw that and i told them they could smoke as much as they wanted. Yea we had fun. ;]

She's a great interviewer, good questions, listens and responds well. She's cute so thats nice too. This needs more views.. Musicians dont usually get good interviews anymore, only actors get to sit down and talk about what they do, people need good interviews to remind them that music is an extremely important type of art that shapes society more than anything else.

Sometimes I just get the feeling that Billie Joe Armstrong is the voice for greenday and he speaks for the other two while they just sit there smiling and looking around.
@daiseighelliott4 жыл бұрын
He definitely does for tre but I don’t think they really like taking to interviewers who 99% of the time have no clue who they are or much about them, back in the 90s when they used to get interviewed they never really used to gave in depth answers and they used to just be them selfs and not pretend to care or pretend to like the interviewer. But as they’ve gotten older I think they like matured and act like adults now but they still don’t really care they’re just being polite but they don’t just feel like they have to talk for the sake of talking when they can’t be themselves. And honestly that’s why I like and respect them so much.
@twiggyzafox763 жыл бұрын
@@daiseighelliott yes all of that! I think they all work so well together as I’ve definitely noticed if tre or mike interject or start to answer a question Billie Joe doesn’t try to talk over them it all seems cohesive and respectful. I’ve always enjoyed watching their interviews we there they’re super tame and adult like or complete chaos i find it entertaining either way 😂 it always seemed to me that Tre felt exposed in formal interviews so does tend to sit back and let Bj do the talking, Mike has had struggles with anxiety also so perhaps would also rather watch and listen 🤷♀️ either way love these boys they made my head straight on many occasions and will be forever thankful, their song tempo changes are epic , legends!! now lastly PLEASE COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA ASAP please!!! 💚✌🏻💚

Every single band ever always talks about not wanting to get stuck with a certain sound and wanting to stay fresh by changing direction or shaking things up. As somebody who plays music I obviously understand that but sometimes I feel that if certain bands did actually almost try to ape what they did on their debut or most successful record then they might come up with something equally as good. My comment was not directed at Green Day, something they said in this interview just sparked up a thought. I am not the biggest Green Day fan but you can't not appreciate the amount of time they've not only been around but been right at the top of their genre. And even though the type of punk they make is a little too diluted and produced for me personally I can no longer say that I hate them like I used to when I was a kid. There will always be people who put them down for being this and that but you can't really call them wannabes anymore. They rode the wave and managed to stay on the board.

Jesus whom is the one and only true God and Creator came to earth 2000+ years ago to go to the cross to pay our sin debt in full. His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death and that true and only God is JESUS! And He did all that because He loves us and wants to save us and have a relationship with us. Jesus is waiting for you to come to Him, He won't cast you away from Himself if you come to Him. He calls us all to repentance, He loves us and wants to save us. believe and have faith in God then the Holy Spirit will come in and lead you to repent of your sins and God will forgive you of your sins and cleanse you by the blood of Jesus and you'll get born again by His Holy Spirit and have His salvation, you will become a new creation (John 3:3-19). God bless

Well at least there's a little bit of thought behind murdering any chance of them making even remotely good music from here on out. Sure, they had already begun to decline in quality way back with the release of American Idiot, but their most recent album is downright nauseating. At least with Am Idiot to Rev Radio they still had a bit of their old attitude... Father of All is straight up shitty pop rock. It truly makes me sad to see my former heroes fall so far.
