My lawn is the same . REAL thick and poofy like yours. Should I continue to skim. It's at 4 plus inches. It's green and I figured If I cut down to 3 it will brown out. The rain got me the same way. What do you recommend BYD as far as cutting it???I mow every 3 days.

I’m listening. I mow at least twice a week. It’s starting to look better. I’ll hit it with the bioadvance fungal treatment and fertilizer and see what happens. We getting tons of rain in north east Florida.

You can treat the crab grass and clover with SpeedZone or BioAdvanced Lawn Weed and Crabgrass killer. Both are very effective, and the BioAdvanced one is available at all the big box stores; Speed Zone will likely only be available to you online. I’ve had good results with both, but the Bioadvanced is a better buy and more readily available. Dallis grass is an entirely different monster that can’t be taken down with any of your normal weed killers. You basically have two options - RoundUp-type total everything killer or dig it up by the roots. Sometimes you have to do both to get rid of it for good. Be *SURE* to apply pre-emergent to your lawn to prevent and new Dailsgrass seeds from germinating - even if you don’t kill this year’s infestation. This will prevent any new weeds from sprouting up next year.

Michael, if you are having to mow around a lot of unpredictable rain, does it work to mow 2 or 3 days in a row, taking it down a quarter inch at a time?

Question , I use a few different types of bug killing concentrates spectricide, amdro , bayer and talstar P professional , but it seems hard to get rid of the little hopping or flying bugs ! Any suggestions ? I try and apply some type of bug killer a few times a season with back sprayer and sometimes hose end sprayer. Thanks
