Many thanks Sam and Angela for, unknowingly solving a problem for me. I have to replace my brass door knocker but the bolts that came with the new one are far to long. So it has been sitting in its box whilst I have been trying to work out how to cut them down. You have shown me the simplest way with out hacksaws, electric saws etc. 👏👏👏👏 Now I can put up the knocker and will no longer have people pummelling my poor front door. 👏👏👏😊😊😊😊

Deck is a floor. Porch is a covered deck. Both together are nice. You can sit in sun on the deck and move to the porch when you want shade. Cool lighting!

Both of you have been doing beautiful work on your home. It's so satisfying when you are doing it yourselves. You know things are getting done the way you want it. I love the lighting you put in the pendent light globe you picked Angela will give out better light than the one that it came with. The difference between a porch and a deck is a deck is not covered and a porch is. I said on one of your earlier video's we hired a guy to build us a front and back porch on our 1988 mobile home and I'm am so pleased with how he is building it. I told him what I wanted and he has excited my expectations. He has used 6×6 post instead of the usual 4×4 post. I wanted the farm house style so I've went with the galvanized wire instead of the spindles on the hand rails. The top caps around it is wide enough to put flower pots on them. He ordered my tin roofing today. It's took seven years to get here and I'm excited like you two are. 😊 Love your bloopers!

I was a little confused about Same putting up the lights and fans at first cause I didn't want him to chip a pretty finger nail with that nice polish cause guys aren't as careful as gals but of course Angela was doing that so no worry. We have two fans with remotes. i attached a lanyard to one remote and hung it on a wall. I did this because we were always hunting a remote for the fans. I am thankful that one remote works for both fans.

Originally from the south, I say front, back, side porch (whatever material or form). My hubby, being from mid-west, says back deck and front step. I like the above kitchen sink light. One of those would work nicely in your front door area too (instead of the fixture flat on the ceiling). I wish I was as confident as Angela, getting in there and accomplishing what she does...and with polished nails!

Love the lights, especially the ceiling fan….I stopped the video and went and found it at Home Depot…..we are redoing at double wide , had to redo outer wall framing, added plywood to outside then added vinyl siding, replaced all the wood on the roof and replaced some metal pans…we took out the fire place and front peak, replaced all the windows…..replaced 3 foot of flooring on outer edges. Next is the wiring and plumbing……..love what you have been doing …….much cheaper then buying a new one. I feel for you working in there in the heat….we have taken a break do to the heat as we live in Florida and temperature is over 100 degrees and we have no power except a generator. The end prize is well worth it, the hard work and sweat put into it will be so rewarding. I can’t wait until you move in. Have a bless day. 🙏 Can’t wait until the next video

Get a round plate cover cut a hole in the middle for your track light. You also get a light extension so you have a light over washer & dryer.

Glad someone else uses Hampton Bay. It's a good product and priced well. I have 3 ceiling fans that run constantly as I can set the blades to pull air up or push it down....depending on the season. Love the kitchen lite you chose. Thanks for the hint on how to shorten a screw. I learn something new each day even at my age (82).....lol lol

Love the fixtures, the closet light is cool! But the square globe is my favorite!! Timing is perfect to receive a tutorial on track lighting. I finished the ceilings(YAY!💆) and was dreading the tracks! After watching this, feel a lot more confident! Thanks for sharing! Hi kids, just watched the installation of your remote ceiling fan ...I have a remote also in our log home..our ceiling is a cathedral 24 ft high..our remote for the fan came with a wall holder......and we keep that remote on that holder at all cost...love the farm look , so happy that all the electric fixtures have been installed...we also have those hanger brackets on our decks out side, but sorry this old gal can't remember if they are on top or underneath the support beams, If I recall , I think we done both, for extra support ( top and bottom )...good luck...the home looks beautiful...

Things are moving quickly now! Yay! 👏👏👏 Everything looks great! What a huge difference from where you started! I am curious Are you planning to install closet organization in your bedroom closet? I had installed some in one of my previous homes, and loved it, because I was able to add drawers, and shelving to fit what I had, so I didn't need so much furniture in small rooms. It saved a lot of floor space. You may not need it. I might have just had more stuff/junk. Lol!

HD didn't have those spin lights when I bought mine. My house is 116 yrs old and had the pull chains in entry, pantry and basement. The LED screw in bulb fixtures really look better!
