Greenwood Indiana... THE South Side Indianapolis Surburb. Greenwood, Indiana is known as THE suburb on the south side of Indianapolis. If someone mentions the south side usually they are referring to Greenwood. There are other small towns nearby but Greenwood, Indiana is certainly the largest. There are roughly 60,000 people that call Greenwood home making it one of the largest suburbs surrounding Indianapolis. However, Greenwood is located on the south side making it unique in at least this way. There are a number of reasons to like a place such as Greenwood but in this video I'll cover three. Is Greenwood, Indiana a good fit for you? I don't know that for sure but hopefully this video will help with your decision.

When I first moved up to Indy from Florida in 1998 I use live near Greenwood by Stop 11. It has added a lot more retail and restaurants since then. The Greenwood Park mall seem to have successfully pulled off the renovation it had when a lot of indoor malls around the country have closed their doors. It was a good move to add an out door add on. Did you know Greenwood was actually once Indy's second largest suburb? It was for many years up until around 1991 when Carmel finally surpassed it in population. Greenwood still continues to grow in population to this day and has done well for itself.

It has done very well for itself. It's a nice affordable suburb. It could be great for many who need a location on the south side.

Southsider here and Southport is also a great option. Right next to Greenwood but still in Indianapolis. We love being from Southport

I have Greenwood address and we have million dollar homes all over the place, and that is the Center Grove area. I didn’t see that get mentioned.

I would add that Franklin is close and Franklin has a very charming downtown. Also Mallow Run winery is an awesome spot. Bargersville is blowing up too.

I can venture to say with lots of people moving to Greenwood housing will be harder to come by.

Greenwood is just too crowded. It’s so congested. Greenwood also has less business development than many other comparable areas like Noblesville and Fishers. I would say that Greenwood is a great place to live if you’re looking for affordable living but a little less of the upscale amenities that the Westside or the Northside would have.

i used to see greenwood as several mega churches and rows and rows of homes containing women named " karen " . heres an interesting ( and sad ) place to keep an eye on . tiny monrovia is fixing to bring in a huge apple ( computer ) factory . they will build a city to house all these workers and it will be a ' from the ground up ' experiment in international " woke - ism " . its getting hard for a morgan county hilljack to find his peace and quiet .
