A very interesting and informative video. I've been playing fairly good local district level in Yorkshire for 'a long time' yet the drills and troubleshooting mentioned in your videos are helping me, even in my ripe old age. Many thanks :-)

For backhand yes, deviation vs. flexion/extension of the wrist, and forearm rotation (really pronation/supination). knuckles up, palm down. "wipe the table". Keep the lower side of the racquet frame in front of the top side, from the top of the backswing through the point of contact with the ball. Same leading edge technique for the forehand

great insight - also very respectful to the potential student - I wonder to what extent the same principle applies in handball where the upper arm rotation could be key to good effect on the ball
