1) Calorie Deficit by eating 2) Calorie Deficit by exercising 3) Keep a calorie deficit every single day until you lose the fat, but don’t eat so little you become anorexic 4) Train harder over time by increasing intensity in whatever you do (basically just progressive overload) 5) Cut the obvious junk food. Eat low calorie variants of moderate/healthy stuff 6) Be persistent, but know you can totally have a fun snack after certain amounts of time/compensate with exercise or deeper calorie deficit for when you overeat on a given day 7) Get your bloodwork done to see if there may be some kind of problem 8) Set realistic goals. You will get discouraged, rebound, or both if you set a goal that’s unachievable or is way too hard to handle 9) The slower you lose weight, the more likely you are to keep that weight loss without losing significant muscle and energy 10) WATCH MORE LORD GREG

Coach, I had been working out 3 days a week for over a year and was staying consistently at around 85 Kilo. When my son was born, I stopped working out and gained about 2.5 kg. On August 1st, after I saw a video of myself, and got tired playing with my older boy after only about an 5 minutes, I decided it was time to take control of my body. I got turned onto your channel by watching Kenny KO, the algorithm sent me here. Prior to that, I have seen a bunch of videos that are dedicated to weight loss and muscle gain and none have helped me get to my target weight (80 kilo). Because of you, I have developed a high intensive exercise plan and started tracking my calorie intake. The goal is to lose .5 kg a week until I get to 80 and maintain it (between 78 to 80 kg). This morning, I weighed myself and I saw 81.5. You are an inspiration and I appreciate your confidence and intensity. Because of you, I was also able to realize what kind of body type I have and start to study my own metabolism rates. Thank you. You have given me something I could not previously find.

I can confirm tip #10 is true. Before watching coach Greg I was in a plateau. Now, 2 weeks later, I’m down 2% body fat.
@tomblankinship47503 жыл бұрын
I wanted to thank you for your videos. 21 months ago, embarked on a body transformation. I was 57, 5’10”, 197 lbs, & 26% BF. I did IF, started resistance training (body weight , since COVID) and dropped 50 lbs. I hit a wall at 15% BF and couldn’t figure out what to do. People were telling me that I was too thin, but I was skinny fat. Other KZbinrs said to get to 10% BF before bulking, but if I did that through further cutting, I’d look like a POW. Therefore, I did one bulk and cut cycle and I did look better, but I kept thinking that it didn’t make sense. I finally decided to hold my weight constant and continue to train. My logic was that if I was getting stronger and the scale was not moving, I had to be getting leaner....and it’s working. I’m around 13% BF now and look better than ever. I’ll get leaner at the rate that I can put on muscle, which is what it is and will take how ever long it takes, but I will just continue to look better and better. Eventually, I’ll get lean enough to start growing and then I’ll gradually gain weight. If I start getting fat, I’ll just stay put until I get lean again. Your approach of maingaining is the only one that makes any sense.

How to get shredded abs: 1. PUT THE FORK DOWN: Get into a calorie deficit 2. Get into a calorie deficit by moving more: Do cardio 3. STAY IN A CONSISTENT CALORIE DEFICIT: Stick to your deficit. Understand change takes time. 4. TRAIN HARDER THAN LAST TIME! : Literally progressive overload 5. EAT LESS CRAP: Eat low calorie, high volume foods 6. DAILY DEFICIT NOT REQUIRED: If you slip up on your diet, keep moving forward it doesn't mean you ruined all your progress. Just don't mess up often. It's about what you do most of the time that matters. 7. GET YOUR BLOODWORK DONE: For health purposes(Testosterone/thyroid/hormone imbalance purpose). Having good health motivates you to workout 8. SET REALISTIC GOALS: Something you can achieve. Go at a pace that you're capable of doing and maintaining. It allows you to achieve and maintain your goal. 9. LOSE SLOWLY AND STEADILY: A slight calorie deficit allows for you to maintain muscle/gain muscle while losing fat and keeping your motivation in check. Energy levels are also optimal due to a slow weight loss. 10. WATCH MORE VIDEOS BY DOC. GREG: There is a direct correlation between Dr. Greg's viewers gaining muscle and losing fat.

A lot of people don't understand just how long it really takes to change your body. Most people seem to check out when they find out it can take years(depending how much fat/weight you have to lose) to get that body you want. I was 220 pounds at my heaviest at 5 ft 6in. I lost 80 lbs. I actually got my weight too low so went back up another 10-15 lbs. I have maintained that while just consistently working out and have still managed to change my body dramatically. I will always consider myself a work-in-progress so I always have something to work towards while enjoying the progress I achieve.

I'm doing intermittent fasting, started at 12/12, did that for months last year, after falling off the wagon due to a tragedy in the family I got started back a few months ago and soon after went to 16/8, worked my way to now doing 20/4. I've been trying to eat healthier, but about a month ago I decided to go on a high fat/low carbohydrate/no processed sugar diet, I eat a lot of protein during my feeding window in the form of meat and vegetables like spinach. I started out walking about fifteen-thirty minutes, now I walk at least a mile and a half every day, and three days a week I walk at least five miles. That's my cardio. I've also recently added weight lifting and I'm trying to find a gym whose hours work for my schedule. I've been injury prone in previous attempts to get healthy so I am taking it slowly until I am more fit. I'm not counting calories at all, but I'm very sure with the amount of exercise and how physical my job is in combination with the reduction in the number of hours in which I allow myself to eat that I am constantly in a calorie deficit even if I eat a massive and satisfying meal during my feeding window, which is not always easy considering how small my stomach has shrunk after a twenty hour period with only water entering it. The other evidence of this would be my weight loss. Last year I was 230 pounds at my heaviest. Two months ago I was at 189. Two weeks ago I was 175. I am currently 167. As I have become fitter and increased my exercise routine, and decreased the feeding window, I have lost weight more rapidly, but if anything I am growing muscle. Mostly due to the diet, I never feel hunger pangs like I used too. I get hungry throughout the day, but it's hardly noticeable and I just have to drink water to make it go away. I am the better butter burner now, baby! I don't crash anymore, in fact if I didn't work out as much as I am now, I'd probably have insomnia from the excess energy I feel even after working a physically demanding job for 6-8 hours. And I grew up drinking soda in my sippy cup, eating Hostess cupcakes and Little Debbie Fudge Rounds like they were going out of business, I had terrible trouble getting up in the morning, could never concentrate in school before getting a bunch of food into me, and that was my life for thirty something years. If I hadn't biked so much and gone on the occasional diet, I would definitely have weighed four hundred pounds. Crash, feed, crash some more. It's a night and day difference this past month, all day I have mental clarity, feel like I have gas in the tank. All I know is I feel the motivation to keep going, to keep working out and losing the weight, I feel fitter and stronger than I ever have, feel like I have more energy than I ever had. I'm recovering faster. I am taking an aswaghanda supplement and for me at least it has been a tremendous help with lowering my stress which has helped increase my motivation to get healthier. I know this time I am going to keep the weight off, because even if I do decide to add more carbs back into my diet after losing all of the weight, I'm never going to want to give this diet up entirely and the fasting is incredibly sustainable. Right now, I feel so comfortable doing 20/4 with the occasional 16/8 break that I don't even know if I ever want to stop except to take maybe a cheat day here or there, like no more than once every couple of months. Hopes this helps anybody.

Loved this video! I went back to walk as cardio and at the very beginning my speed used to be 3.3 miles per hour, after a week I can go up to 4.1 miles per hour and everyday I push myself I little bit more and it feels so good!! Loving your content lately!

I'm a reserved Englishman who has just discovered this channel. The doc is a little loud, but comes up with some fantastic advice. Very good common sense, love the channel and greg is straightforwardly brilliant.

I have to say I think this guy is the hardest working KZbin channel out there... On top of his other jobs his always putting videos out. He diserves all the success he gets ..
