I’ve never commented on a KZbin video before but I felt compelled to share. I wasted about 15 years being carb-phobic, gaining and losing 50 lbs several times and generally feeling miserable about my diet and my body. I was terrified of artificial sweeteners, grains, and dairy. And I didn’t count calories or do cardio. I was absolutely a giant moron about food and exercise. Thanks for yelling at me, it finally clicked and I’ve never been happier. I’m about to be 30 and just had my third child a few months ago. I’m working, finishing my last semester of college and I’ve lost 35 lbs so far with a level of ease I never thought possible. Also, my kids love getting to eat popcorn with me several days a week and riding on the new stationary bike when I’m not using it. Thanks coach:)

I bought the Cookbook! I just have to say wow! Just WOW! I was hesitant to buy it, since I live in scandinavia, so wasnt sure if I could find/ get all the ingredients. I just wanna say that, it is not an issue. The amount of content you get is insane! Once i saw what you got in this Cookbook, I was kinda ashamed, for thinking it was kinda pricy. So all in all, if you are on the fence, trust me, it is 100% worth it!

I just felt compelled to come here and say, for the first time in a while I had an “extreme” binge, and Greg has effectively saved my health and my mental sanity in the long run. While I remember having had once come home at nights from work and eaten chips, soda, quesadillas, anything I could get my hands on. Its been over 2 years since that’s happened, but last night I was voracious, but luckily I had just bought some boxes of Smart Pop popcorn online and they had shown up a day prior. I’ve been hooked ok the stuff for a while now, 100cal bags of popcorn snack in under 2 minutes, its a no brainer for me. For context, I used to weigh 180 pounds at 5ft 5inches and have trouble breathing on some nights from overeating. Now I weigh under 120, 117 on the dot as of yesterday, I rarely do strength work but I’ve come to love some light cardio every 2-3 days which has made this 2 year process significantly easier. So last night I was starving, I’ve been having trouble sleeping, its a mix of heavy school workload, stress from school, and potentially from being at this low of a weight, which is a first for me. I’ve grown up my whole life wearing large/XL and it being brushed off as “you’re just growing” which developed very bad habits that took a long time to break and still persist in my every day life that I have to actively stop myself from doing or adjust accordingly, such as just eating because I am bored. I do not need to lose more weight but I am very much someone who pushes themselves when I have a goal in mind, so I have still been working towards lowering my body fat as much as possible so I can see abs prominently, and I can see them coming in so I am nearly there. I am aware of what Greg says about halving expectations, but this is who I am, I have a goal. I will methodically work towards that goal, even if it is painfully slow, I want to be able to say I hit my goal once, after that I just keep the positive aspects that I may have learned from achieving my goals without pushing to my absolute limit constantly. So the foods I’ve learned to keep around me and that I’ve enjoyed so much have become low calorie dense foods, and last night it was a savior. I ate 7 bags of Smart Pop Popcorn, maybe 1-2 servings of frozen strawberries, a handful of low cal tortilla chips, I know it is not a ton, but in that moment I was hardly feeling like myself, I really just went on full auto-pilot, just shoveling bag after bag of popcorn and fruit, and probably close to 150-200g dried banana chips (my mother tried making some for herself but she didn’t like how they turned out so she just left em in a ziplock bag instead of wasting the food. So they’re really just oven dried bananas, it could be worse but still more dense than other fruits). I didn’t do any cardio either and was relatively sedentary, nor did I really have any energy to from my lack of sleep. After everything I was left feeling satisfied but very much thirsty (lol) but I had been counting my calories and I know I went over by 500+ calories from maintenance based on my activities from the day. Mentally I felt disgusted but I took a minute to think and realized that things could be significantly worse and that honestly I was just fine and I would be fine. Whereas before I would be sad and feeling disgusted with myself. I took into account not only the fact that I tend to eat in deficits of 500 or less relatively consistently (less now because I don’t need to lose as much or at all honestly), so I was comfortable knowing I’d only really be replenishing some energy for the next day and I just went for a small walk, then went to bed. I’ve really adopted a good amount of these snacks and foods into my every day life as well as these habits. I used to be someone who at one point was eating more antacids and omeprazole than fruits and veggies, who assumed they’d die early from overeating and asthma complications, from someone who could barely run for more than a few minutes doing 20 minute miles “running”, someone who couldn’t look at themselves in a mirror. I’ve over time now become someone who can run a sub 10 minute mile, (I’ve even managed to run 2 5k’s!) who goes on walks for fun, and now I can not only look at myself in the mirror with pride but I definitely check myself out from time to time. I’ve certainly changed a lot from just doing weights and trying to “bulk” with bro science, to trying fad diets out of desperation, to now eating healthier than before and practicing moderation and being able to enjoy a healthier life. My overall life has improved, and I am a cheap man mind you, so I have not paid for a single Greg Doucette product to this day, but I have no problem with saying the sheer amount I’ve learned from so many of his videos is equal or near what the value I’d stand to gain from owning his cookbooks and supplements. So if you’re like me then you don’t have to buy this man’s cookbooks or his training books or supps, but I have no doubt if your goals are more aligned to getting SHRIPPED vs just being thinner/leaning out, like myself, then watch more of this man’s videos, buy the cookbooks and HTLT Supplements and share them. I weighed myself today after my morning walk, I was 117.2, so if I gained any weight it was likely water weight, and I got a great night’s sleep and feel energized. Thanks Greg Doucette and others who share this simple education that will probably last me a lifetime.

I can't stress enough how much leafy greens, watermelon, cucumbers, and carrots help me fill out meals and stave off a craving. The pre-chopped salad bags at Target are about 1 lbs/.5kg and are about 40-60 calories for the whole bag. I'm basically full with a bag and a cucumber sliced in. The oil and vinegar I dress the salad with are about 100 calories which is more than the rest of the salad.

Keto can work for short periods of time (and maybe slightly better in the short term for NAFLD people; and neurological things), but there is just so much more data/science behind CICO and healthy carbs when it comes to losing and maintaining weight/overall health. Best of luck! Are you type 2 diabetic?

Lost 65 Pounds since March 11, 2021 after finding Coach Greg. I eat French Toast, 2 Packs of Easy Mac, and a Protein Shake everyday. I use 6 slices of High Fiber white bread in my french toast, which helps me keep regular. I don't like much food, so it's hard for me to get fiber, and protein, and this has been working for me. I try for 1500-1700 calories everyday, and I walk 3 miles everyday. Most of the weight loss was from playing VR though. Walking is sort of new for me, my shoulder muscles need a break from all the VR. Dieting is easy, just find meals that have high protein, or fiber, or both. Usually meals like this will hold you over for around 6+ hours. You'll rarely be hungry, and cardio to help give you more a deficit. Try to eat Maintenance on the weekends, and diet on the weekdays. This will help you prevent yoyo dieting.

Kimchi. It’s basically cabbage but the spiciness and the probiotics really do help fill you up.

5. Miracle Noodles 4. Steamed pumpkin with cinnamon and artificial maple syrup. 3. Cucumber (peeled) with a zero or low-cal sauce. I use a citrus soy sauce. 2. Frozen cherries and/or blueberries with an artificial sweetner syrup. 1. Coach Greg's cookbook. Anyway, those are my quick- easy prep foods that haven't gotten boring to me yet.

@@potatowaffle5653 Good point! These are my JUST some snacks that I use to supplement a more balanced diet that includes suitable amounts of protein from fish, chicken, tofu, beef, etc. But the calories from those foods add up and if you are still struggling to be full add what I suggest and also what Coach Greg suggests! I love pumpkin pie but it has a lot of calories. Pumpkin served how I mentioned is almost nothing. And it's like a dessert! I also love sweet potatoes which are a bit like pumpkin pie, but those calories are actually quite high. Pumpkin is better! Lettuce is great, but to me a cucumber is crunchier and more edible on it's own as a snack. This doesn't mean I don't eat salad. I do almost daily! See also, Miracle Noodles can replace any pasta and it's nearly 0 calories. Add a 400 calorie beefy and creamy sauce and you're actually okay because you made a 1000 calorie meal only 400. That's why I made my post! You could also add some quality information that you use in your diet because that's what I was hoping for! Anyone have low cal food tips feel free to add to the thread!!!^^

@@celticmagiclad9928Hey man, as an ex keto guy, I've started implementing lots of pop corn and honestly it's so much easier than having to prepare and chew thru a bunch of meat and veggies -Ive just been eating 3 or 4 bags of smart-pop popcorn and I'm all set Stomach is full, still have tons of calories left and I just drink pasteurized egg whites in a simple smoothie for protein

Hi Team Doucette. I've incorporated egg whites from costco, greek yogurt, diet pops and artificial sweeteners. The sweeteners have helped me cut my sweet tooth tremendously. It makes greek yogurt taste a lot better. I am 40 years of age, 5 feet 7 inches and have gone from 230-180 (size 38 waist pants to size 32 currently). I would love to get to 160 pounds and be shredded, but I don't know if that is realistically achievable. I started my journey since 2017, but the progress truly started happening for me when I stumbled onto one of Gregs videos during the Cove where he was in his old apartment in a yellow tang top yelling at me. At first I was like "why is he yelling." Then as I gave him a listen, he was making a lot of sense. Anyone new to the channel, welcome and I wish you the best with your journey.
