Hey All! My friend asked me to listen to this one. He knows I've only heard one song from them before which I was not a big fan of, and told me to give them another chance. I'm glad I did!

yes! the singer (Josh) and the guitarist (Jake) are twins, while Sam (keyboards and bass) is their younger brother. the drummer (Danny) is a longtime friend of them all. You should check out their new songs Heat Above and Broken Bells, and I would highly recommend Age of Man from their Anthem of the Peaceful Army album. Honestly, I would recommend their entire discography because they are awsome, but I think these are my personal favorites at the moment

@@Yeedeed Hi! As far as I know, the band members didn't say the two songs are linked in some ways.. I like to think it's like an evolution, and us human kind went from the Age of Man to the Age of Machine. But I don't really know, since they didn't say anything (that I know of). Age of Man was the album opener, so kind of important, I think they are sending us a message, but there is no confirmation of that

Definitely check out age of man. And brave new world. I would say the two best from their first LP Anthem of the peaceful army.

There's so many people in 2023 going through hard times with everything going on in the world. This song hits home....the lyrics, the video, the music, the vocals...it all hits you right in the chest. I have seen this band twice hoping to see them perform this song but I caught this band too late and have yet to see them perform this one. This is by far my favorite song of theirs but I love all of their albums as they are reminders of a better time.

So, could be stretching it a bit here but the song starts with Josh vocalizing, which I thought resembled a "cry" and then Danny comes in with the drums and the drums resemble the Lub dub of a heart. They started this song by resembling a birth and start of a life.

It’s awesome that you got the Clockwork Orange reference! One of Josh’s (vocalist) favorite films is Clockwork Orange!

Hi all! I just want to say if you're seeing this today and on, please know that I am MUCH more knowledgeable about GVF now, as this was the first song I've heard of theirs since hearing Highway Tune several years go. So please excuse anything stupid I said in this, such as "Hey I think the singer and the guitarist are brothers!" :-p

I actually like Highway Tune. I get what you say about the substance in the lyrics. But I find it catchy and love the guitar. Also I do believe Highway Tune was in the movie Ford vs Ferrari. One thing to note is Highway Tune is one of their songs from when they were still in High School. So that may explain the lack of substance in the lyrics. The video for HT was much later after they were out of school.

The nice thing about this band they have a lot songs that has substance/deep meaning but also they make fun simple songs and aren't scare to experiment that They have a broad variety in their music and it's great You should check their work deeper it's worth try I became a fan when I listened their debut album songs like Age of Man/Brave New World/Watching Over/Anthem are great the catchy songs will always be among as I said their music is quite diverse I would recommend check their full discography And your interpretation about age of machine is correct :)

They were really young when Highway Tune was released. Sam & Danny were still in their teens. So they were probably "girl crazy" lol!

Jake & Josh are identical twins! Josh is oldest by 5 minutes. Sam is 3 years younger. Danny is 3 years younger. Danny & Sam have been bff since 1st grade!

I am a huge GVF fan and have listened to most of their songs and have seen them live. They are very very good and great rockers............but if you want to discover someone who can do rock, opera and everything in between....for many the best voice in the world....judge for yourself with this one song SOS...then go into others, because you will be amazed. There are many versions of this song..I must have listened to SOS about 300 times. His name is Dimash.

Okay man, you like Greta. Sweet, I dig them to; big time. But another new up and coming band is Dirty Honey. If Aerosmith, GNR, and AC/DC had a baby, it would be Dirty Honey. I don’t care what the view data says, “When I’m Gone” is their best song hands down. Scars and Rolling 7’s in second. Honestly, their cover of Aerosmith stuff may be better. Peace!
