You know Hearing Greta Van Fleet for the first time is totally awesome. This song is called "Age of the Machine".
This dude had never heard of Greta before, so I introduced him. It is always so fun to introduce someone. I think I have heard 5 of their songs and every single song I have heard I have absolutely loved.
Age of the Machine did not let me down.....it started slow and capped with such energy. I cannot wait for the next one.

Guys, guys! The guitarist and singer are identical twins and the bass/keys is the other brother. 8 to 80 are ages of the fans. They named the band after an elder from their hometown. Her name is Gretna VanFleet. They’ve been playing together since 2013 and their first recordings which were packaged as a double EP won Grammy album of the year for the rock category two years ago. You have to go further down the rabbit hole on this new album which solidifies their sound. Check out the candle light series of songs from their new album you will be blown away.

It's nice to hear rock like this again. A lot of bands now days just do cleans in their vocals and it honestly is one of the biggest reasons rock is just meh or dead is some people's opinions because nobody is original anymore. GVF on the other hand just keeps getting better with each record. Don't sleep on this band.

Just saw your reaction to this one. I love Greta Van Fleet and enjoy when channels react to them. You should also check out "Weight of Dreams", "Lover, Leaver, Taker, Believer", "Edge of Darkness", "Broken Bells" just a few. I am one of the older people, and that is why I love them. They brought the sound I love back. They are not a cover band, all music is original. There are many songs that don't sound like Zeppelin. But as one of their influences you hear it. Even Zeppelin stole from Blues bands. All bands to an extent take from others in the past.

Some people have compared them to LZ, Guns ‘n Roses, Rush, and Josh to Robert Plant or Geddy Lee. Robert Plant was asked which new bands he liked, he responded Greta Van Fleet. When Elton John heard them for the first time he called them and asked them to perform at a charity concert he was arranging. A couple of pretty good endorsements I’d say. 😉

Josh the vocalist and Jake the lead guitarist are twin brothers and are the older. Sammy is bass and keyboards. Danny is the drummer and is the same age as Sammy and were friends at school. They got their name when they heard the name of a woman in the town in Michigan whose name is Gretna Van Fleet. They asked permission to use her name dropping the 'n'. There was a spate of reaction videos about Highway Tune, their first single when they were still in their teens. I can hear why people may have heard LZ vibes in there. Seriously though - Josh'sd vocals have NEVER reminded me of Robert Plant. Or anyone else. And I am very familiar with music from 70s. As soon as people start comparing you start to look for things to compare to. Elton John suggested they might want to play with their 'look' - which is awesome. Doesn't mean you put someone in a jumpsuit and automatically it is copying Freddie. Age of Machine was filmed like this because it is reflective of the lyrics of the song. What has happened to the planet. They and their fans, and I am so happy to be one, are members of the Peaceful Army - their songs are reflective of that.

I don't care if they are compared to older greats, as I think they are now in a league of their own and they're only going to improve with age. I grew up in the 60's listening to my parents 45's and LP's of rock n roll, pop, soul and I've loved all music ever since, but these boys are something else. I don't hear LZ at all. More like Rush. And it really doesn't matter they are awesome and although there are hints of classic bands. I hear a lot of originality and true talent.
