🔥Lyrics:🔥 [Verse 1] Bathing in the light around us Praying for the night to comfort thee Dancing on a cove below us Praying for the flood to set us free [Chorus] And the planet is still turning And the faces are still burning And the mothers with their children search for the rain [Verse 2] Drifting through the plains before us As it turns to dust before our eyes Pleading for a god to pour us Just a little bit of rain from an empty sky [Chorus] And the planet is still turning And the faces are still burning And the mothers with their children search for the rain [Outro] Who will bring the rain, woah Who will bring the rain, hey Who will bring the rain, no no no Who will bring the rain, woah Who will bring it Who will bring the rain

I was worried about this album. They seemed not to like the “you sound like Led Zeppelin” issue, and I was afraid that forced them to change their style and became mediocre. As if it was a shame to sound like LZ in an era that everything sounds like bs. But they certainly found a way for their own style and still sounding freaking awesome. I’m sooo happy, I hope they keep being humble and working hard so we get a dozen albums from them. And yeah, I also love this song in particular.

All that ‘sounding like zeppelin’ means is, Rock n Roll done beautifully. Songs with powerful drums, soulful and technical melodic bass guitar/keys, godly guitar playing and a crazy ranged vocal performance from the front man. None of that is attached to LZ anyone can do it! I’m so happy Greta Van Fleet exist!

@@zackychan1922 When someone calls this album a "masterpiece" it shows their limited knowledge of rock and roll. I know younger people want to embrace something from their own generation and make it their and that's fine, but if this album had come out in the late 60s or early 70s it probably would have gotten pretty much ignored compared to all of the other great rock and roll that was out at that time. I give them credit for trying to bring back some pure rock and roll.

It was Oxford & you should never feel inferior to anyone. Ever. When it comes to Guitarist’s you are second to no one. I’m dead serious. The Battle At Garden’s Gate is a Masterpiece. It really is. Your an incredible Composer & Lyricist. None better. I promise you there is literally black smoke rising from many other artists heads without naming them. But I do believe you know who they are & that is just too bad. I don’t say these things to you to flatter you or to romanticize it. If I didn’t believe it, I would not say it. No matter how important you are to me or this world.🌹

I'm 69, I knew the Sixty's were the good old days when I graduated high school. Led Zep on the 8-track in my 68 Impala, can't get much better then that. Stupid Vietnam War but still. The 20's are not looking to bad though, stupid Covid though.
