Apparently the creator of fairy tail was actually inspired by "MLP Friendship is magic" at some point which is why there are so many friendship power moments in the fairy tail series. He even confirmed it in a tweet a long time ago. Which isn't too surprising since MLP FIM is actually pretty popular in japan.

Well, I'm not sure if you noticed it. But if you look at the scales of the area. They have Fiore at a rough length of 3500 km and Esdeath's storm at 2500 km. Though Esdeath at 280 Petatons and Gray at 27 Gigatons. But that was because of Fiore being shrunked to 5% of it's size at the time of the storm due to Irene's Universe One spell. If it was at it's original size, it would've been more powerful than Esdeath's. I also found some things very questionable about Esdeath's calculations. I find 913 Teratons too high to make a 400 km crater. The biggest crater made in real life is 200 times smaller than Shikoutazer's and it was 15 megatons, which means the size of the blast should've been about 3 Gigatons. I also feel like the researchers highballed Esdeath. I also find weather modifications like the ice storm treated as a TNT blast to be very questionable.

might want to take another look at that, the 3500 is the total size of fiore before the 1/20th size decrease which was factored in for the calculation meaning it was more like 875KM which was kind of a misdirection by the DB guys but anyone who had read or watched fairy tail should have known about the size difference.(plus you know the black box stated it too) as for the 913 teratons it wasnt just the crater it was the fact that it obliterated all that land as well meaning the ground wasnt just thrown up like with a meteor impact it was reduced to nothing thats why you end up with higher numbers. of course none of this matters as pretty sure in the time it would take for grey to resist her time stop esdeath kills him with her regular sword, as she can move faster then lighting and the distance wasnt great.

@@MrEcoho No 3500 km is the Fodlan length. It's a rough line. I found the longest line is between 4800 to 5100 km. Also, the 1/20th wasn't 875 km, it's 175 km. Which is small as an island and makes sense for it to be 27 Gigatons. Still not actually quite convinced though with the Shikoutazer blast crater. Yeah, I didn't say anything about the time stop since I already know it's capabilities. The only thing I don't like about the time stop is how they compared Gray's cold resistance to Tatsumi's, despite the difference to how they got their cold resistances. I'm not saying Gray should win, I pointing out how lazy Death Battles interpretation with the analysis is. This episode just gave me the impression that Death Battle knows nothing about Fairy Tail and wants to screw over their characters because of hearing the "Power of Friendship" crap. The calculated feats represented for Danny Phantom and Jake Long make much more sense than for Esdeath.

@@fairiesflame1345 i was using the length provided by the video as ive seen the esdeath storm put much much larger with it ranging from 2500-500000 in total size id say its a good 50k with what we are told about the area and how long it takes to go from one place to another and that the capital is stated to be around 200,000 squared KM in area. eh the size might be off too since the scale of the city is actually much larger. yeah the time stop is kind of weird as you get two choices; 1. its colder then absolute zero a temperature that currently doesnt exist but far colder then anything grey has withstood bar none meaning he can adapt to it in any real time. 2. its time magic and he has no resistance to it at all. tatsumis whole thing is that he rapidly evolves so when it came time to adapt to her time stop he simply did it, but since she could still freeze him with ice it wasnt just cold he adapted to but the time freeze itself. this makes his whole resisting of it very different then what grey would have to do. now i love fairy tail currently cant wait for the next part of the 100 year quest but without the friendship power up (which you have to admit is kind of impossible to quantify in a battle like this) grey was just out matched in every single category, i mean shes ice erza pretty much. now thats not to say the DB guys dont fuck up ben10 vs green lantern and zoro vs erza are kind of high on my list of you done fucked up guys maybe try it again but they got everything right here if it was maybe low or high balled for both sides.

@@MrEcoho Wait wait wait. Where did you get 500000km? That sounds like an overestimate as that length is much bigger than our Earth and Death Battle used the Earth's diameter of 12742km which is much smaller than that.

@@MrEcoho Mostly their feats have been done via emotions. Which that consider for Gray when he beat up Invel. Back in Natsu VS Ace, they did consider Natsu oneshotting a War God despite the so-called "Friendship" used. But it's still not the same thing. If there is magic from Fairy Tail that required friendship is Fairy Sphere. I still would call Natsu overpowering Fairy Heart Zeref and burning time a feat. So besides the ridiculous plot, it still counts as a feat if the feat happens in the real canon.

Inaccurate 1 grey ice demon slayer form is imune to ice(stated moultiple times) if you try to debunk me pleas use things from the manga couse the anime changed stuff like the chain invel used was an actull chain it wasent ice or ice magic it was an actull chain 2 fiore is the size of a smal continent and invel storm was actully concentreded on where he and gray was meaning invel wasent even trying to create a giant storm his ice magic was so strong it created a storm without even trying while esdeath needed 3 days to create a continental storm even if you say the continent she did it on was 3 times bigger then fiore thets only means in 1 day she is equell to invel who dident even try to do it and she completly tierd she needed to sleep for couple of days after thet while invel wasent even tierd 3 invel ice armor is cold as the underworld ice wich is absolute zero and it also ignors durabillity like resistence or imunity and grey was able to create the exact same ice after his zenaki boost in base form 4 esdeath time stop abillity hase shown to not be so great the MC was able to move for little time by just starting to have resistence to cold and ice and its not even a great one while gray is imune to ice in his demon slayer form and have great ice resistence in his base form 5 gray hase above light speed reactions if you want proofe base form natsu was able to dodge sting roar wich is a laser(and yes it is made out of light couse sting dragon is the holy dragon who uses light and holy energy in his attacks) and we see gray react easilly to natsu END form wich is way more powerfull and faster then base form natsu while easdeath can dodge lightning 6 fairy tail hade a whole fight with hades without ther plot armor and they also hade less then 1/10 of ther power also friendship power in fairy tail is littrly having good frineds thet save you or actully friendship power wich is only used for a spell thet is only used 2 times in the whole series 7 ice sheel completly paralyzes the person wich it is used on so no esdeath cant escape it

As someone who read the manga for Akame ga Kill.... DO NOT READ/WATCH IT. The issue is that it's the same as Fairy Tail bit on the exact opposite spectrum. And by that, I mean that TOO MANY characters die, some just die sometime after thay are introduced. The deaths are only done for shock value and it's pointless. DO NOT READ/WATCH Akame ga Kill.

Well, it was a rant. I followed that manga to its end and a large majority of people I met had more or less the same feeling I did. All in all it's a warning. Sorry if I sounded like I was pushing my opinion here. I've had a very poor experience with both series as someone who looks values story overall
