Grilled chicken burgers don’t have to be made from filleted legs or butterflied chicken breast. While it may seem unconventional, sometimes you can make the best poultry burgers, by learning how to make chicken patties.

Chicken patties are just as delicious and battered or grilled chicken filets and they’re arguable easier to cook and handle. Often times however you won’t find chicken mince at the store due to the particular risks it may carry in terms of contamination. Fret not however, you can easily grind your own chicken at home using a meat grinder as long as you make sure everything is sanitary and kept at an adequate temperature. Season the meat with salt, pepper, and paprika, as well as some minced garlic and spring onions.

How you cook the burgers more or less depends on availability and preference. By using a grill you can spare some of the oil you’d use by frying it in a hot pan. Using a broiler could save you some time and energy if you’re making other preparations. If you ask me, nothing beats the char and/or smokey flavor of a grill.
