Good job. But is their a need to latch the lid while cooking? Also, is the auger, igniter, and board 12 volt, with a inverter built into the cord? Or straight 120?

There's probably no need to latch the lid as long as you don't care if there's smoke leaking out around where the lid closes. We like to keep the smoke on our food as much as possible, so we latch just for that reason. Regarding the power, it appears to be straight 120, but the manual says that it's designed to work with a 12 volt, 100 watt inverter plugged into a car outlet. For using the igniter, it recommends to use a 1000 watt inverter.

I admit I was totally surprised at how hot that one I ate at the end of the video was. I've had jalapeno poppers many times before, but for some reason that one really had a Scoville rating I wasn't prepared for, lol.
