It seems like common sense would be to bring a rifle considering the circumstances. If you leave a huge meal out all night, it would seem safe to assume a bear had found the meal by then. I don't understand why people make these terrible decisions listening to these stories
@bcallahan38068 ай бұрын
Depending on state and laws , if animal is known to be down it can be illegal for you to carry a firearm during hunting season. Ya it makes no sense. But when do politicians who write laws on things they nothing about ever do? Biden, Wray, Garland, the list goes on. Head of ATF can't define an assault weapon. Or knows the difference between semi auto and full auto. Much less he could figure out the difference between a Newport or Cuban Cigar, or Moon shine and Bourbon.

Damn, picked up his nose and lip and put it in his pocket he is the revenant. My grandfather chopped his toe off by accident once and picked it up and was going to throw away but some friends talked him into going to the hospital to get it reattached.

"Know how long before dark & how long to hike out" I hear hunters say. The ones I know will not leave game overnight, which they call bear feeding. They'll end the hunt. If they don't get anything, there is always next day or next season.

He, a hunter for seven years, ran. Hard to, impossible, to believe he ever thought about the consequences of ĥis lackadaisical thinking, or even considered what he knew to be true: a grizzly was bound to be responsible for his buried kill. The grizzĺy assumed more responsibility than he did!

"Lord was definitely watching over him!!!!" THINK abouyt that one. Think, for Pete's sake!!! . Where was the "Lord" when he was being attacked?? Wouldn't THAT have been a great time to be "watched over". Nothing was "watching over" him. He had excellent medical care...excellent. Induced coma, dozens of surgeries, meds, therapy...that is how he lived. And he suffers PTSD, which is horrific. THINK

Thank God he’s ok. I just can’t even begin to imagine what him & his family went through. Strong family. We all make stupid mistakes in our lives at some point or another. Some just pay for theirs more than others but instead of focusing on that, what a survivor they all are! Wow, his will to live is amazing & his family standing by him, kudos!!! So many today, are not willing to go through anything but instead leave their partners when they’re down. God bless you all immensely! The doctors, they give so much of themselves! I praise God for these good ones who are not in it just for the money but for the long haul because they truly care❣️❤️✝️. I love to hear these stories of resilience & overcoming! This is what life is about. Overcoming obstacles, so I want to thank all of you for encouraging me with your story❣️❤️✝️

We look at people from our past and think they were uncivilized and ignorant. After following this channel for a while I’m starting to think they weren’t as backwards as we like to think. There’s a reason they hunted bears out of some areas so people could live safely in those areas. With bears coming back unbothered in some areas people are facing increasing danger. And, for all of you clutching your pearls in anguish and dismay I’m not saying eradicate the bears!

This man would be better staying in his living room watching the outdoor channel on Tv. Using a kitchen knife to dress an elk? Come on. Sad thing is I doubt that he learned anything from his bear attack.

🤣🤣👏👏🤣🤣"The valley bottoms (SOARING) to 7000 ft high" 🤣🤣where did you go to school? MAYBE? try again only this time say "mountain peaks" instead of valley bottoms. YES SIR ---- Lee's a genius ---- he left his elk over night because he did not want to run into a bear in the dark then he comes back without any bear protection ----- yes sir a real genius. I'm sorry for his injuries but why do people keep making such dumb/BAD choices in grizzly country? Bears are not stuffed, cuddly, majestic, bundles of joy they are unpredictable wild animals.

Elk hunters are not the sharpest tacks in the box. There are numerous stories of them being attacked by grizzlies as they sneak around in heavy brush or being careless with the meat.
