Grounded: Sequel in the Works?

Agree. This is probably one of the best games I've played, though I do miss a couple of features that existed when the early access first came out. The 2 things I hope they change in Grounded 2 (if there is one) Is to bring back the charm of the puzzle(s) in the labs, and make the dialogue for BURG.L not take 3 years to get through XD

If they make a sequel the best advice is to not list it in Early Access. EA seems to turn people away from enjoying a decent game upon final release.

They said that Early Access really helped them with player feedback. You can just wait until it fully releases to play it though? Why would Early Access turn you off from a full release?

If the game wasn’t in early access it would be WAYYYYY different clearly not the same game, maybe better or maybe bad/ mid…

@The_Apex_Of_Predators I did wait, which is why Smalland is a really fun game for me. I learned my own lesson, putting 500 or so hours into Grounded during EA. The honest truth is that many players have no idea what they want against what is realistically possible from the dev stand point so they hype themselves up, get dopamine "feel goods" believing they are involved in shaping a game and by the end of EA they are bored and start hyper focusing in the opposite direction looking for every flaw or irritation point they can find. This isn't all players, but it is many of them. In short... having an EA cover 90% of your game is like developing with millions of backseat coders that only see a topical glance of the entire process that goes into production. Alpha/Beta testers were typically there to test drive the car and find the "weak spots" that get missed because so much is going on within the teams and publishing constraints... they were not needed to build the car as often that design was already story boarded out long before any initial announcement to the public. The concept of EA looks good on paper but the practicality is just far from that.

Here are some suggestions from the community that made it into the game: Mutation Loadouts Additional Custom Game Option Relocating Buildings Large Chests Large Grass and Plank Pallets Corner Stairs Curved Foundations Moth Accessory Slots Fresh Storage Naming Chests Naming Worlds Charcoal Canteen Infected Wolf Spider Peep.R Crafting Many Storage Hot Deposit Roly Polys Black Ants (I ask you, if black ants were a feature added because the community suggested it, doesn't that change the story, since the black ant lab is located in the black ant hill?) Sitting Many Achievements Flipping Structures Curved Railings Curved Floors Curved Walls Equipped Equipment doesn't take up space the inventory Sleeping provides buffs Arrows are automatically picked Weed Stem Floors Drying Racks can take berry leather (and pupa leather once it was added) Reworking Sap Collectors to how they work currently Spiral Staircase Stair railings Grass and Weed stems can be added attacked to weed stems The time left on smoothie buffs can be seen Armor and Weapon upgrade system rework Many, many additional building pieces that they don't have specifically listed, just "Additional Decor" is listed

Limiting which console edition would result in a loss in revenue. For a company who is all about the margins, this is not a sound business decision.

Grounded has been successful, even with being so constricted by hardware. I think if they really decide to put their resources towards a sequel made with current to future hardware in mind, they could make something so good.

It has been over a month… when will i get my helldivers apology? Since you know…. You were wrong about everything you said about it being dead and having around 500+ players after a month comparing it to the star troopers game.

I love helldivers 2, but I think his point is just that people are moving on from games faster than we used to ten years ago. I hope i'm playing helldivers 2 in a year from now, but content warning is lookin good👀
